The lone bartender trying to serve the entire place on her on on a busy weekend did an outstanding job. Management needs to schedule her help on weekends with multiple weddings.
I went midday for a late lunch, the staff, food and Atmosphere were great. I enjoyed listening to the music outside so the guy and his guitar added a nice bonus to lunch. I got the Chesapeake Burger, fries and an orange crush.

The Boardwalk Café is an amazing space right on the water. Food and Drinks are fairly priced and very tasty. Will be back soon!
Perfect atmosphere right on the water. Better prices than I expected for such a nice place!
I feel like this place could have potential to be great, with the water view and the live music made it nice. But the food is terrible!!! And the service honestly could have been better. Super dissappointing.
We never got to try Boardwalk Cafe. We have been to Rod & Reel plenty of time so I decided to book with Boardwalk Cafe since it was outside. We booked on June 29th, 4 days before the scheduled dining date. We reserved a table with them for July 3rd to be able to eat outside and watch the fireworks. I got a call on July 3rd telling me that they had to cancel our reservations because they decided at the last minute to have an concert, and if we wanted to keep the reservation that we had to purchase tickets to the concert at $30 per person or we could pay $10 to come 30 min before the fireworks but not have dinner. It was the day of the fireworks. It just seemed very rude to wait until the day of. My family was very much looking forward to the display and I couldn't fathom paying $120 for us to just be able to keep the reservation and then have to buy dinner on top of the fact that there was the call for potential rain. Just a disappointing experience overall. I'm not even sure what the food tastes like.
Located right on the water, even the gorgeous scenery could not make up for the food, dead lettuce, a crab cake with too much binder, and more plastic on the table than I have seen in years. Even water was served in a plastic bottle instead of a glass (or, yikes, a plastic cup) so we could be charged for water. Four people, 3 salads, one burger, water, and two club sodas (also water) $138 before the tip. Outrageous prices for poor quality ingredients. I would do a lot better at a diner. Go to a diner. Save the world from plastic pollution.
Small menu, dog friendly, some construction but beautiful flowers and view of the water. Quick service.
Amazing ambience, Allie is amazing. If you come here, ask for her. So attentive. She got all of our orders right, the nicest bartender of all. She really cares! She is the best thing about this place.
This place has a great location on the water, but the food is terrible. We had a burger (I tried to sub the chips for fries and wasn't allowed, even for an upcharge, so I had to buy a side order of fries) which tasted very cheap and the bacon pieces included were laughably small. My husband got a salad you would expect to get from a school cafeteria, except that it cost $20, and neither of my non-fussy kids enjoyed their burger or chicken bites. The bar tender must not have seen us right outside the bar area and was swearing loudly. All in all, we won't return despite the spectacular views, and based on the emptiness of the place on a Friday evening, we're not the only ones with that opinion.

We were staying at the resort and thought it would be fun to have a light dinner, perhaps just munch on some appetizers, and enjoy the music and atmosphere. The cafe had a nice selection of food, we ordered the crab soup, crab fries and a shrimp and pineapple green salad. Our waiter was a gentleman and decided he didn't need to write things down when taking our order. When the food arrived, for some odd reason, I received buffalo chicken wings. I had asked for an oil and vinegar dressing on the side for my salad and he actually brought that with the wings.... ODD. I didn't make him take it back, but I was very disappointed he couldn't even remember what we ordered. My husband's soup came in a small bowl and had a huge amount of skin on the top, like it had been sitting for quite sometime. The crab fries looked as if they dumped a scoop of the soup on the fries with some garnish and that was their version of crab fries. The music was nice, however it started sprinkling rain and he had to quit early. Which is completely understandable. It was starting to rain pretty hard and not once did our waiter come out and offer us a solution. We decided to move all of our stuff to another table with an umbrella. Other waitresses offered inside accommodations or an umbrellas to their guests, but ours was missing in action. When this gentleman was clearing tables from guests that had left, he was dumping all the beverages over the side railings. Really? Lemons, limes, and beverages - not just water was dumped over the railing. With the heat, etc. you would think they would try to be a little more sanitary. It was pretty gross looking down on the pretty white sand surrounding the cafe and seeing it littered with rinds and more.Overall, the atmosphere is beautiful, the music was great, food was NOT very good at all and the waiter that helped us was not very attentive or helpful at all.
Had a great lunch stop here! Loved the fish sandwich and crab balls. Cocktails were all good while enjoying the outside seating. Ariel was a great server too!
The server was good. The food was not that good. The shrimp appetizer had no seasoning and the fried shrimp was nothing but batter and burnt Cooking oil needed to be changed
Food was ok and very delayed service. Waitress Andria was brilliant though. We have been to this restaurant for years but lately the food quality is not upto to the mark.
If you want casual, relaxed outdoor dining, this is your place. Food tasted more like bar food, nothing to write home about but the cocktails and ambiance made up for it. You can sit on the deck or in the more casual part where you can dig your feet in the sand. There’s even a stage for live music but we unfortunately arrived too late.
