We enjoyed our stay here for Memorial Day weekend. The front desk staff was extremely nice and we loved the rooftop pool despite the colder weather. The room was clean. My complaints would be that I wish RNR was dog friendly and had a dedicated beach with water. Also, the construction was a pain.
Attended 2025 Mothers Day Dinner seating at 4. Very unorganized, no one waiting on tables or clearing them. Beverages were iced water and lemonade (was empty most of the time) the 4 or 5 people working did their best as they were very short staffed. Food service sanitation practices were absent. Food was medeocore. Hot food was cold, cold food was hot. Food was not refilled timely if at all. When we went to get in line for the buffet the plates were dirty still had food on them (i sifted through about 12 plates before i got to a clean one) Silverware was very spotty very unclean appearance. Overall a very disappointing experience to celebrate my Mom on Mothers Day. Spoke with the manager about the disasterous mess the experience was kind and acknowledged my concerns but never offered any compensation or refund,
We were the last reservation time. Nothing was changed in between service except the table clothes. There were dirty dishes so we had to make sure we got a clean plate. The desserts were from the service before so they were putting only lemon squares on the tray. The serving spoons were from the service before which were dirty and slippery. The prime rib was very red and sliced in thin pieces. The The green beans and potatoes were warm. It looked like all items were from the last dinner with some that were brought out. Very disappointing and having to pay all that money.
A bit disappointed, most items very low, couple of the salads empty, no ham or beef sliced up, no one there to slice them when we went through the line. No coffee or tea as advertised although you could get coffee in the hotel lobby. Food was good, just didn't seem they were able to keep things stocked, or had under estimated how much they needed for the 3:30/4:00 seating. Beautiful day and view looking out over the water. Enjoyed hearing the young man playing guitar and singing at the outside bar.
I feel like I was tricked and stolen from. It was a good atmosphere and they did a great job setting up. The buffet was subpar. Undercooked sausage(like they just warmed it up and that's it, undercooked meat on the omelet bar, fish was cold, not a lot to choose from protein wise at all... A LOT OF potatoes and stuff like that. Food left out and uncovered. Do not get me started on the tasteless, driest eggs with no cheese or spice at all... Coffee was out when we first got there. This was supposed to be something to take my mom to... I was embarrassed. I won't be coming back. Best thing was the waffles. I feel like a fool for even doing this. It was not great at all.
The food choices were good but coffee and tea were not replenished. Long wait for waffles and omelets.
They were not prepared for service. Very chaotic and disorganized! Had 3 warming trays that didn't even have food in it yet. Waffle and omelet station had one poor girl by herself to cook for everyone. Waffles had to be made in advance and sat in warmer to get soggy. Not once, while there, did a waitress come offer us a drink or check on us. The food was so bad we didn't finish our first plate and never went back for seconds. This used to be my absolute favorite place for breakfast, but if this is what they are going to put out from now on, you can count me out.
This was our second year attending the Mother's Day Brunch at Rod & Reel Resort and I understand they have been in renovation mode but this event seems to be too much for them to organize. No one explains the set up for the buffet, where to get drinks, utensils, or labels for what the trays hold. Multiple dishes were not stocked or having serving utensils. It was obvious they were scrambling to get ready but with the first seating at 9:30am, I don't feel like so much should have been left to the last minute. I feel like this even could be amazing but until management gets themselves better prepared and coordinated, it will continue to run like a sinking ship. Also, I understand it is an outdoor event, but the little staff present should not be wearing sunglasses. Hospitality and customer service need to be more of a focus when paying this much.
When we first arrived, the doors were locked. Had to knock to gain entrance. Although in chafing dishes, What was supposed to be hot, was warm at best. First dish of potatoes was cold, salmon was dry. Our grandson said the ham was cold and the beef was warm. I can only hope, all this was because of the renovations. Hopefully next year will be better 🤞 Thank you Lisa Wood
The food was just ok and everything was self service. The room was next to the casino. We felt rushed to leave for next seating. Certainly not worth the $55/plate. Won't ever do that again.

We had a reservation time at 1230. We went straight up to the buffet and there were several items missing. No fried chicken, no bacon, lemonade and water station was empty twice when we went to get a drink. Potatoes were cold, no seasoning on several dishes. Bathroom availability was lacking. Had to take a very long walk with young children. (I believe there is a shorter walk to get there but were sent the longest route possible.) We have done the Easter brunch before and had a much better experience. Today 4/20/2025 was not a good experience. Good points to mention... the decoration was on point and beautiful...the Easter Bunny was fantastic! Staff were friendly. The main building, though it's not open yet, we walked through to get to the outside area, looks amazing!
We attended the Easter brunch. Our reservation was at 12:30. There was no line when we got there so we were able to get a table (outside in the sand) right away which was great! The problem we had was the food was not being replenished fast enough therefore your food was cold waiting on other stuff. (First there were enough biscuits but no gravy, then there was enough gravy but no biscuits) Alot of people standing around waiting for food. For the price you paid for brunch, this should never be a problem. Other than the food, everything else was good.
Overall experience compared to previous years was very poor. Food was lukewarm, if not cold. Took forever to replenish as needed. Coffee was cold. Ran out of water and never refilled. No assigned servers available to individual tables to take drink orders or clear plates as was done in the past. No pies or cakes for desserts made available for those that had lunch items. Why a gratuity is charged, no reason for, especially after the crazy ridiculous price for what was offered and what we got. So very disappointed! Never again!
Attended the Easter Brunch. Food, service and atmosphere were very nice. Brunch was served outside under the tent with a beautiful view of the water and nice music playing in the background. Loved that everything was pre-paid so didn't have to worry about anything once your seated. Very nice job Rod N Reel.
It was great expect for the screaming, crying children. I understand Mom and Dad need a morning off, leave the kids at home with the grandparents .
