We waited and waited and waited and waited and waited for a server to simply say hello. I had to get up to go ask the host if our server was available. The host was peeking around the corner as he slowly made his way to our table with zero sense of urgency. He comes to the table and I asked him what happened TWICE!! He shrugged his shoulders and with no apology or thanks for our patience proceeds to ask us if we wanted to order. The demeanor of this server said it all. It said we were not welcome and he could care less if we stayed or left. The host saw us leave, did not try to say anything or apologize. I haven’t been there in a few years and was really excited about going back. Needless to say, I won’t. Restaurants with exceptional food as well as SERVICE are plentiful and unfortunately, Prime 225 is not one of them. I’ll gladly spend money elsewhere!!

Great food and service. I enjoyed their filet mignon and baked potato. You must get your reservations several days in advance for weekend dining.

Food was good but not sure I can say it matched the price point, our quality of service also didn’t quite match the price point.Atmosphere description: A nicely remodeled, but extremely small space with a total of less than 12 tables in the dining area, I believe.Overall experience: A crammed space, that is overpriced for the atmosphere and service, with some good food to make you say, ehhh it wasn’t that bad I guess.Pictured dish: $40 - Seafood Fra-Diablo (which was missing listed menu items such as clams and mussels, that my server failed to tell me about ahead of time.)

Parking was tough, but it only went up from there.Service was awesome! We started off w drinks and bread. There were 4 in our party. My husband and I split the 30oz steak, medium well. It was flavored well, w a nice char. I topped mine w the blue cheese. My knife went through it like butter. My oldest ordered the seafood pasta dish. It was a bit spicy, but very good. The youngest got the filet.Sides are family style. We ordered the twice baked potato, Brussel sprouts, fried green tomatoes and baked mac and cheese. EVERYTHING was amazing and came out timely. There are 2 desserts that are made from scratch and 2 order. Yup, those are the ones we got. So we ended the night w the apple brown Betty and the beignets.

The rockfish was way overcooked and fishy. The risotto was undercooked. We were rhere for my husband's birthday and we both got the same thing. I phoned the manager, and he says he will "take care of us" the next time we go. No clue what that means. $180 on food I ended up tossing. The server was the best part of the evening!

Food is never a let down, every dish is well thought out and delicious. The ambiance is cozy and quaint! Service was top notch the last 2 times we've been and had Hayden as our waitress!!

Make a reservation in advance! This place has limited seating, which I think, is one of the reasons the quality is so high. From the excellent drinks at the bar, and superb wine selection, to the appetizers, mains, and sides, it's quite the experience. It's our 'go to' for a special occasion. I've had every steak on the menu, and they're all excellent! But I can also say that for the duck, fish, and specials. The only thing I don't like about Prime 225 is isolating on 'what to order' because it's all so delicious! We've been there at least 10 times over the past 5-6 years, and every time I leave, it's with a big smile. Excellent service and attention to detail. Give this place a try. Hands down the best steak house in the area, and Chesapeake City is a pretty cool small town, with a lot of tradition, shops, etc. It's a fun place to spend an afternoon.

It's a NYC steakhouse in Chesapeake City, MD! The food is never disappointing. The service is great. They don't overdue it. The setting is cozy. It's not a big place, so they can focus on getting things perfect. It's pricey, but worth it for a special night out.

This place is amazing. The Ambiance is great, small and unique. The food is outstanding, the best meal I've had in a long time. The service was great as well. I'm thankful for my experience and I'll be back. It was worth the drive and the money spent.

Always a wonderful meal and dining experience. A little pricey but worth the money. Small and simple elegant dining room but can be a bit noisy when crowded.Parking: Located in a small, pretty, quaint residential town on a canal that has a marina and other restaurants. Mostly street parking which is also used by the home residents.....so parking can sometimes be a challenge. But just allow sufficient time for parking as you always find a spot.

This was a last minute reward for a young employee. Called to make reservation and nothing available early. I said we would then try to arrive at 5 to sit and eat at bar. Woman I was speaking to replied we now require reservations at bar as well ? I thought that’s new and kind of odd, but they can operate as they like. We arrived at 5 and I said I had reservations at the bar. The young lady had a strange look until another woman walked up and they spoke and they told us to go and sit at the bar. We ended up squeezing in at the end. This seemed to irritate the bartender, at least initially. She warmed up to us and ended up going out of her way to provide top notch service. This is the only time in 8 visits customer focus was off. I was uncomfortable enough that if it was my wife and I, we would have left the bar right after sit down. Since it was a reward and my employee’s first and only visit I felt it was not an option and thankfully it only got better. Still unsure what caused confusion at check in and frustration of bartender? Look, this would have been 5 stars at 95% of the surrounding restaurants, but I have experienced their best efforts numerous times. Just a bit strange. The food always steals the show and the atmosphere warm and cozy.
