“My daughter and son-in-law brought us to the Bayard House over the Christmas holidays 2024, and we were impressed-with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the views! We wanted to do something special for our Army Captain daughter, Noella Rogers, when she promoted to Major yesterday. Remembering how much she and her husband, Jeff, love Bayard House, we called about getting a gift card. Chris Amon, (not sure of the spelling), Assistant General Manager, answered. When he told me that we'd have to come in and purchase it, I told him that we lived in Texas, so that wouldn't be possible. I was about to hang up, but Chris asked where my daughter lives. When I told him, he said that he lived close to her town and volunteered to hand-deliver it! Wow! He didn't have to do that! Not only did he hand-deliver it this morning, April 24th, he bought and placed it inside a card for her. Talk about going above the call of duty! Bayard House, hang onto Chris because that guy is gold! Everyone else, if you haven't tried it out yet, go get you something wonderful to eat at Bayard House! Chris, we look forward to thanking you in person the next time we come to Maryland for a visit!”

“The best deli in Newark, maybe NCC. They're a real deli with so many options that you can customize almost anything! Try their cheesesteaks - I love the classic cheesesteak but I had a friend obsessed with the chicken mushroom which, to each their own, I guess. I also recommend getting a breaded chicken cutlet on a Kaiser roll with bacon, American cheese, lettuce and lots of ranch! They also have the award winning crab bisque that's phenomenal, and other soups that cycle in. Also there's breakfast options before 11 - and who doesn't love a bacon egg and cheese?
Try anything really, I haven't been disappointed yet!

Parking: There's a high turnover since this is takeout/delivery only, but you might have to wait a minute or two if you're sitting a high volume lunch hour during the workweek”

“Playa Bowls makes the best meal/snack. The fruit is always very fresh. The staff is pleasant. The store is clean. I buy from them about once a month.

“I sadly need to leave this review. My husband and I have eaten twice at Casa Mezcal. Food and service were great! However, last Friday we ordered a to go order (over $40 with tip). We got home and started eating dinner. I found not one but two(!!) long human hairs in my nachos. I immediately called and explained to the girl who answered the phone. She took my card number and told me I would receive a refund in 3 days. It has been a week. No refund and that puts a really bad taste in my mouth. I now will be forced to file a dispute with my card company to get my refund but not without providing this warning. It's a shame, but I won't be back. in case anyone's wondering. 8/24 & a Facebook message sent AND read but zero response. Absolutely ridiculous.”

So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”
