I don't know what to say about this place. A little charming at best. I wanted to like it but the food took so long to be served. The portions were small and I left hungry after cleaning my plate. Refills on soda/tea were extra. The crab cake was good, just not enough. The atmosphere, the bar was full of boat owners or locals and we were the only diners in the restaurant on a Friday night so that should tell you something. They were having a blast while we sat alone in the dining area. The dilapidated boats, docks just had an uneasy feel about it. This should be a million dollar property with a class A restaurant attracting a huge crowds every weekend. Instead just rows of junk boats fall apart, meager meals along with a beautiful sunset. I'd avoid the place if looking for a nice dinner.

There is a very good reason why its names Sunset Cafe. Seafood were freshly served with simple style of cooking (steam or boil) with nice seasoning. Can’t emphasis enough on having few dinners with that precious sunsetting view as I usually poped by during evening. In my humble opinion (someone from Southeast Asia), a hidden gem of Chesapeake City, MD.

I'm usually not the one who leaves comments. So here it goes. This place is a hole in the wall . I wont sentd my pet Rat here alone a human being this place is a health hazard. It's filthy & unsanitary conditions all the way around even the food had maggots this was unbelievable and disappointing me and my friends will never come back here or recommend this place.the i bet the health department needs to come see this place & shut it down.

Definitely a local place. The food is good and the staff is very friendly. Good crab cakes and the fries and onion rings were good as well. The sunsets make the place. Fantastic!

Cheap drinks and food, friendly staff, and the best sunsets. It’s typically very quiet unless you play the jukebox.
