It's an ok bar. Food is fine, drinks are served with frosty cold mugs which is good. It's cash only which I didn't notice until we had to pay. No big deal just use the ATM. It charges you 2.75 for the ATM it says the name of the person (assuming the bar owner) then charges you another 2.00 on top of that that isn't mentioned or that I noticed was mentioned .Seems wild and actually pretty greedy. Will definitely just go somewhere else next time I'm in Chestertown.

Bar Keep, Arrogant to say the least. Went to pay bill of 2 Drafts and take out order, $30.00 + 2 Drafts. SHE informed me she would not take my credit cards. I had only 15 dollars in cash. SHE said ATM or VENMO. Grabbed my take out and told me to get out. NICE!! Left my cash, 15.01 and I will Never be back and tell every person I know don't go there unless you want to meet the HAG of the Blue Bird.

ONLY ACCEPTS CASH
The food is mediocre but not bad. But, they do not accept credit cards and only have a small sign in the corner saying they are cash only. I didn't see the sign until after I had my food and was forced to use their ATM (which grifted an extra fee on top) so I could pay.

Whoever was bartending on May 8th at 9:30 may be the rudest employee I have ever witnessed. She has consistently been rude and disrespectful to myself and other patrons who I have talked to. This is atrocious considering we choose to spend our money there. This again is not to diminish other workers there, who we have had a positive experiences with. The demeanor and hostile attitude from such an employee should never be tolerated by a service based business. I will not be returning in the near future.

We decided to take our first spring 2025 ride to places unexplored and ended up at Blue Bird Tavern for lunch. Great little bar! Great service and food. The people were friendly, and we met a couple of fellow mc riders that told us of an event they have coming on Sat. June 21 to raise money for Austism. Hope to see all you MC riders there.

The food was great and the service started out good but the bar got busy after that it was a little hard to get someone at our table. Be aware they do not take credit cards it is on the menu and up in the wall however it is a pretty small sign and I missed it. Normally I am a cash guy but that day I didn't have enough to cover the bill.
