Annually, I come from Jacksonville, FL, to visit my sister, who lives a block away. It would be a sacrilege to not go to The Bluebird. Colloquial in the best sense of the word. It seems to have been modified , somewhat, in the last year but the charming, comfy, shredded barstools remain, thank god. The food is terrific. The sweet guy who cooks it comes out to serve and is conversational and earnest. Quite talented! We just love it. I hope you have a tshirt I can buy before I leave for home ❤️ 🌻 😊 I missed our regular barkeep but the lovely, young woman who served us was efficient and adorable. Couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood tavern 🌟⭐️🌟⭐️🌟

My fiance, myself and 7 others had lunch here. Not only was the food great, so was the service. Especially since there were 9 of us. I had never been there before because I thought it was just another bar and I don't drink. I'm glad we all met up there. The prices were very affordable considering the quality of the food.

It's an ok bar. Food is fine, drinks are served with frosty cold mugs which is good. It's cash only which I didn't notice until we had to pay. No big deal just use the ATM. It charges you 2.75 for the ATM it says the name of the person (assuming the bar owner) then charges you another 2.00 on top of that that isn't mentioned or that I noticed was mentioned .Seems wild and actually pretty greedy. Will definitely just go somewhere else next time I'm in Chestertown.

Bar Keep, Arrogant to say the least. Went to pay bill of 2 Drafts and take out order, $30.00 + 2 Drafts. SHE informed me she would not take my credit cards. I had only 15 dollars in cash. SHE said ATM or VENMO. Grabbed my take out and told me to get out. NICE!! Left my cash, 15.01 and I will Never be back and tell every person I know don't go there unless you want to meet the HAG of the Blue Bird.
Trish is the best! Crab cakes are the best I’ve ever had (& I’m originally from the eastern shore) This place is small and home-y. The locals are kind and welcoming.
