When I had gone it was self seating, but took a while for our waitress to come over. The place was fairly dirty, but nothing too crazy. The service itself was not good. Very quick, no fun interaction, you could feel that the employee was just there for a paycheck. The food, which was breakfast, was also lackluster. I can't remember if it just tasted plain or if it just wasn't good. I do know if it had been somewhat good I would've at least added a star for that.I will end this off saying that this description is being added 3 years after just posting this 1 star review as it was my only negative experience and I felt like it needed a proper review. If this restaurant is anything like it used to be I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Hopefully it's improved since then, if not then I hope nobody had that bad of an experience!
Loved coming here for breakfast, unfortunate to learn they've closed with no indication of for how long or if they'll ever reopen Ó╭╮Ò
Sweet diner with hard working staff. The menu is kind of basic but done well. You see so many locals here. My favorite by far is the creamed chip beef over toast. Yum!
Good option for a local diner
The best breakfast place in town!
Very good breakfast. Great prices..
Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Pancakes are gross, all the b fast meats are gross too. Coffee isn't even good! Dang, even mc Donald's has decent java!.
This is a home town place. A lot of locals come in to chat , and get something to eat. They have a lot of things to serve you. Prices not to high.
Simple casual relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I head here for breakfast occasionally, and its great every time. Staff is friendly.

Fast service, good food, VERY affordable, lots of locals on a Tuesday morning after duck hunting
Good food in a very reasonable price.
Came into Ellen’s for the first time this Friday with some hunting buddies. We were waited on by one of the rudest nastiest waitresses I’ve ever met. Our food was really good but she was a unorganized mess and her attitude made it even worse. We will not be back unfortunately. Giving 4 stars cause the food was really good.
It was pretty good, friendly people.
This place was a total disappointment. So disgusting. The waitress or was she the owner took our order and 45 minutes later we finally received our breakfast. She never checked on us in the 45 minutes to see if we needed coffee or water as we were about to walk out here comes the food. In the meantime I watched the chef microwave food the entire time. They never brought us toast or coffee and gave me an omelette when I ordered eggs Benedict. I said, this isn't my order so then 5 minutes later here comes my Benedict. It was so runny and slimy. My daughters pancakes were like rubber. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
