Thank you MSAK for serving delicious, nutrient dense foods with excellent customer service. We can’t get food this quality unless we make it ourselves at home so we travelled from TX to visit MSAK and it was worth every minute!
We continue to have repeated excellence in service and our food experiences. I feel so grateful to be eating real bread again after 17 years living GF.

Last night was first friday and we picked up 2 pizzas to go; meat lovers and a simple red sauce and cheese. Both were superb. There was a wine tasting going on and the atmosphere was one of people being fed and being happy together.

Modern Stone Age Kitchen, Food Lab & Sanctuary (B&B) is a terrific experience in every way. The food is made with care and is simply excellent. The owners and entire staff are hard working, welcoming, and make every customer feel like a guest in their home. The food quality is consistently excellent, and the baked goods look like something out of the streets of Paris. Everything sourdough, everything delicious. The croissant breakfast sandwich with scrapple on a sourdough croissant is the best ever. The chicken wings are prepared and seasoned absolutely perfectly, and the fermented ketchup is incredibly good. The caesar salad is fresh with a pleasing lemony brightness, and the pizzas are tasty with a chewy, pillowy crust. Their vibes and brunch exceed expectations. The food is really good in terms of ingredients and cooking, and the body feels very light and energized after eating. This type of care and intentional preparation of food is of the utmost importance. Modern Stone Age Kitchen is a wonderful gathering spot for the community, a must visit destination if passing through Chestertown, and worth a detour if anywhere in the vicinity.
