“The food is superb. This is not Indian fast food, but creative and freshly prepared cuisine by someone who truly cares. The service is excellent. The room, on the other hand, is an overlit orange warehouse. If they turned down the wattage of the overhead lights they would increase the atmosphere 100%. But I would kill to have Indian food this fine available to me locally. We were visiting from out-of-town, and we wished we could move this restaurant nearer us (with something less than overhead laboratory lighting).“

“A gem in Chestertown. Interesting menu with a wide (but not too wide) array of starters and main dishes, well-prepared and reasonably priced. Same for the wine list. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, but not cloying. Atmosphere is casual and welcoming. The noise level can be a bit high when the dining room is crowded, but a table around the perimeter helps with that issue. The bar is convivial and the bartender/owner incredibly knowledgeable about spirits and ways to enjoy them.“
