“Gigui is the most underrated Haitian cuisine around. The flavors are absolutely great. The mac and cheese is my favorite period, but the pork sandwich and stews are really good too!!! the various meat, fish and fruit pies disappear fast. Gigui is someone who you just have to meet, her friendly personality and attention to flavor is outstanding. She makes the orders as fresh as possible. Please remember that the food is cooked to order and takes time to prepare some of the time. There is a wait for food , but nothing different from a regular sit down restaurant. so please be patient. I love that she keeps coming out with specials and holds special events and catering. I can't just walk past without getting something new or the Mac and cheese. Thank you Gigui!“

“We got married on Friday, December 13th 2024 at The Cloisters Castle and we could not be more pleased with our decision to hire Putting on the Ritz as our caterer. They were heavily involved from the early planning stages until the event to make sure all our needs were met and to make sure our event went off with no issues. We had a ton of compliments around how good the food was, and we were just super happy with everything. I highly recommend splurging a little extra for the hot chocolate/cider bar, especially if you're getting married in the colder months - this was the highlight of the event! “What a fun night! We booked the Mushroom Lovers Menu cooking class through CozyMeal. Chef Laura was an excellent teacher and host. We honed our knife skills chopping up veggies for the soup, stuffed mushrooms, and sauce. We learned all about different types of mushrooms and how to clean and cook them. So many things to learn! And in the end, the meal was delicious and we had plenty of leftovers to take home along with the recipes.“

“There are no gluten free options on the menu. The very friendly staff very kindly created a Philly Cheese Steak plate so I could avoid eating the bun. It was delicious and included the lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo as a side plate so I could add them at my discretion. I highly recommend Sam's Kitchen!“

“DMV Taqueria food truck is highly recommended! It’s smart to call in your order as they’ve grown in popularity as the word’s gotten out. My neighbor loves their chicken quesadillas. My favorite is the shrimp quesadillas, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. I understand the churros are a favorite too, though I’ve not personally tried them. The drive home is brutal. The food smells so amazing, I can’t park the car fast enough. 5⭐️“

“Chef John puts his heart into his meals and gives his client a wonderful experience. Recently I experienced his seafood okra aka ila a la se po... it was amazing! The whole family loved it even my young kids 10 & 8.

My kids had his turkey 2 years ago and requested for it again this year, that's how memorable his meals are. So as requested we tried his raga turkey, spinach aka efo riro and Jollof rice for Thanksgiving 2024 and he did not disappoint!! Everything was tasty, people kept asking where the food was catered from.

My go-to order is 1/2 chicken with fries and beans. In addition, I'll add some street tacos on the side. Everything is excellent. You can't go wrong with either chicken or al pastor with the street tacos, and the mayonnaise sauce I use for dipping my fries is addictive! The restaurant is always clean, and the staff is quick and efficient, so the wait is never long. Whether you're dining in or waiting for carryout, there are two large screens showing international soccer matches or news to help pass the time. This is a perfect after work stop for a great, reasonably priced dinner.“
