Gigui is the most underrated Haitian cuisine around. The flavors are absolutely great. The mac and cheese is my favorite period, but the pork sandwich and stews are really good too!!! the various meat, fish and fruit pies disappear fast.
Gigui is someone who you just have to meet, her friendly personality and attention to flavor is outstanding. She makes the orders as fresh as possible. Please remember that the food is cooked to order and takes time to prepare some of the time....
I really wanted to like this place, but I was let down. So I ordered Uber eats, I called because I had some questions, they had a really short menu and the lady on the phone was extremely helpful. I genuinely love this haitian spot!! No offense to the others, but this particular restaurant makes their dishes closest to how my family makes it without all the extra frills or even blandness. Their beef bouyon w/ diri djon djon + plantains is my favorite meal to order and I just wish they were located closer to my area!!!
