As always, bus and wait service was excellent. Food was well presented and prepared to perfection. A favorite of ours.

Outstanding crab cakes. Best ever. It was a great meal and we love going there whenever we are in the Baltimore area. It's a DONT MISS spot! Service was excellent.cheese curds were sumptuous. Caesar salad tasty.

We know where to go when we want good crab. My friend had her usual crab cake. I had the crab stuffed shrimp. It was too delicious for words. Unfortunately, the crab over scored the shrimp. May just try crab alone next time we come back.

Always a great meal. I dined with a colleague from Texas who was in town. I opted for the oyster platter with a cup of cream of crab soup this visit. Both were really good. I honestly can not remember ever having a bad meal at this location or the other on Taylor avenue. I love the consistency from visit-to-visit. Looking forward to taking advantage of a special lunch offer they shared with me on my next return visit.

Patrick was our server. He was outstanding and made our evening very enjoyable. The food was fantastic as always. One of our groups favorite places to meet for a delicious meal.

Generally things were very good. Most importantly the crab cakes were excellent. Just a couple of things that could have been better, but were not worth dealing with at the time. First, the complimentary marinated cucumbers were very bland/not up to usual standards. This happened once before a long time ago at the Taylor Ave location, so perhaps an inexperienced person made the batch? Also, the rolls were very stale. Everything else was excellent, and we left stuffed, so no big issue, just something worth noting and correcting.

Terrible customer service and terrible crabs! Don’t go, they will tell you that they are taking something off your check and then not do it! They make you pay when they screw up your meal! There are better places to spend your money!

Went here after Magooby’s comedy, heard it was pretty good. My fish and chips were ok, my wife got the softshell crabs and they were awful. Wife loves them and they are seasonal. The softshell crabs were NOT good and we told the waitress. She said they would take care of it. They didn’t ever take it off the bill, so I called and spoke to the manager. Manager says there is nothing they can do. TERRIBLE customer service, worse than the crabs. Don’t go!!!

Great food, great happy hour. The inside is very outdated and could use a little modernization/update. The service is off sometimes, but there are a few amazing bartenders that make up for it.

The food was excellent.

The service was great.

The atmosphere was the best.

My family and I went here 2 weeks ago on Aug 24, 2025, and we all enjoyed our crab cakes. I highly recommend!

I would definitely come here again!

Wow, it’s hard to express our extreme disappointment after reading all of these wonderful reviews. We were so looking forward to our visit to Pappa’s with gift cards as first time diners. Service was inconsistent, and the server never identified herself (intentionally?) so I can’t even share her name. She never shared the soup or vegetable of the day with us(overheard her with another table after we received our food, very disappointed, we would have loved the soup instead of limp salad). The “housemade” sangria tased like watery wine and had zero fruit.. We had pot stickers that were shriveled and appeared old. Ordered scallops that were in tasteless watery (not buttery) sauce. Baby back ribs (nothing “baby” about them, they were standard big pork ribs) were a huge portion but the sauce was thick and seemed to be right from a bottle. Desert was fine.
Check was a few dollars over our gift cards, close to $100, we waited to make sure they scanned. We left the sever cash to cover the difference and her tip (16%) and she had the nerve to question and act perturbed when she realized she wasn’t getting more, unbelievable.
Many employees working, manager was definitely present. Hope the person who gave us these gives us something else this year.

Had some of the best crab cakes in Baltimore but since they no longer fry their crab cakes they just lost a long time customer.
