Fantastic sushi tucked away in an unassuming strip mall. I’ve been a couple times because there are so many appealing sushi rolls and they have all been fantastic. The fish is fresh, the proportions are good. I’d avoid the cocktails, they are underwhelming. They can be slow when busy but that should be expected when sushi is being made to order.

Went and asked the receptionist for a table. She seated people who came after us and did not apologize. After waiting for half an hour, she told me we are short staffed and we can't seat you.It is very unprofessional and disrespectful. I will never come here again, even though I was excited to try the place.

Came in there today for a late lunch and they told me to leave. Seems that they have a policy where they shut down between 3:00 and 4:00. I'm fine with that but they didn't even want to accommodate me they didn't even know what I wanted whether it was going to take 15 minutes or a half an hour to prepare and they didn't even give me a chance. That really put me off. I won't be returning there. There's a lot of sushi places around they're not the only one.

My wife and I stopped in, while shopping, for a bite to eat. The restaurant was almost unoccupied, we were seated promptly by a polite server. The environment was quiet, and a little cool for me. I ordered a cup of hot tea which appeared quickly and was warming. I ordered the Tempura Shrimp Bento box. I was surprised at how much it provided to eat: A small bowl of miso soup, two sizable Tempura Shrimp, slices of Tempura fried sweet potato, onion ring, and two other sliced tempura root vegetables I did not recognize, two Shumai dumplings, four pieces of sushi, a salad with carrot/ginger dressing, a serving of steamed white rice. Everything was good, but for my palate, too many Tempura root vegetable slices. (Interestingly, the miso soup was sbrought to the table in an ice cold bowl; this rapidly cooled down the miso soup.) My wife ordered the Habachi steak lunch combination, she says the steak was a little tough and cooked more than she requested. Her lunch included a salad with carrot/giner dressing. Two spicy salmon sushi items were also included. This combination included a substantial serving of good, tasty fried rice. ( I shared one of my Tempura shrimp with my wife: She says it was good.) We both decided we shall return, but next visit we will investigate other choices on the menu.
Loved the food. Surprised by the vibe. Great sushi chefs, which are pretty cool to watch crafting your selections. Will dine in next.

FOOD- 5/5 the fire crab roll has to be my favorite of all time it was so good!! We were started with a random appetizer sushi. Everything was just so good and tasted so fresh. Me and my friend came two days in a row because after our first visit, we knew we had to go right back to try a new roll. The plating was so cute too! You can see and taste the efforts. SERVICE- 5/5 made sure we were taken care of perfectly!! AMBIANCE- small but comforting place. Plenty of tables and booths. Highly recommend giving this place a try! Will definitely be back.

I live in San Diego, where the sushi is prolific , fresh, and original in many cases. Then on a work trip I visited Ninja Sushi alone for dinner. Initially I was extremely impressed with the many offerings and creativity of the sushi on their extensive menu. Then.... I ordered 3 sushi and 1 sashimi dishes, and WOW! Not only did each of these delight me in their taste and texture, I had never before experienced the combination of flavors, fish types, sauces and even presentations. I was so impressed by my experience, I came back the next day for lunch with several work colleagues, and they were amazed as well. All of them were from the area, none knew of Ninja Sushi beforehand, and all said this was their new favorite sushi bar. This was the first time sushi experience for one of us, and she was super impressed with everything. She gets an award for bravery, but she may be disappointed if she ever visits a different sushi bar. In addition to the fantastic food, the service by the servers is the best. One of the servers who had taken my order the night before, even remembered exactly what I had ordered. The servers were very helpful in selecting our food, knew the menu well, and were very patient. The ambiance here is typical of all sushi bars, except they have many more tables. When I am in the area again, this restaurant is the top of my list for lunch or dinner.

My friend told me about this place and we already came back twice! It was in a pretty convenient area at the corner of Randolph rd and New Hampshire ave. The restaurant is not too big and very cozy. Staff were really nice and polite every time we went. I love how they always decorate their dishes with little flowers and lights. My little one likes it! We have ordered different dishes both times and loved all of them. They also give you a complimentary starter and dessert too! Would definitely come back.

The best sushi i have ever had! Every single roll i have tried here has been absolutely amazing, not a single miss! The servers are so attentive, gentle, and kind and really make the experience even better! The sushi tastes very fresh and you can tell the chefs truly take their time making it - like the sushi is made with love! The presentation is absolutely beautiful. Even rolls that i normally dont like i absolutely loved here. Overall the experience was a 100/10 - from the hospitality of the servers, to the amazing food, and the presentation. My friend and i came back two nights in a row after because we couldn’t stop thinking about it! This place is a true gem and if you’re looking for a sushi spot this should definitely be the one you choose!
