Wowza!! Ate there twice on a quick business trip to UMD College Park and had the same delightful server twice! Maddie was just delightful! So helpful with her suggestions and so spot on!! Dinner and breakfast did not disappoint! Don’t skip on the homemade poptart!!!! Tried brown sugar one for desert and the mixed berry at breakfast! Light, flakey crust and big enough to share. Forgot to take photo until almost finished.

We just enjoyed a retirement celebration brunch for my coworker. Alicia our server took great care of our group of 10. Excellent service, DELICIOUS food! Alicia even brought out complimentary homemade pop tarts to celebrate our coworker’s retirement. Thanks iron rooster for an excellent experience!

Giving a shout out to the Hostess Zahra who took my to-go order. She was amazing and matched my energy. I was excited to come back and order the Chicken ? Benny which is soooooooooo yummy ?. The gravy is everything!!! Thanks again Zahra for the positive energy and I will return with my family next time.

My family and I were in town for a college tour at UMD. We stopped here to grab brunch and had the absolute time because of Cornelia! She was attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, super sweet and made sure to check on us throughout our meal. Not to mention, the food was to die for! Thank you Cornelia and the manager Dan (?) for the best dining experience!

Had a lunch date here last week. Service was interesting. We were seated and waited about 15-20m for our order to be taken. After that it was an additional 30+ minutes to receive our food (our waitress was also the bartender). My issue came in when another group came in and were brought to their table in our section, they were greeted immediately with a smile and welcome, they were asked what they would like and given recommendations. Within 10m they received their apps. They also placed their orders which came out around the same time as ours.

The entire time we sat and waited, no one checked on us to see if we were ok. However their waitress continually checked on them.

I noticed that myself & my husband were seated in the same vicinity but had different wait staff. Another couple (also African American) came in and were seated in the vicinity but was in the section of our waitress/bartender as well.

The other couple who was sat behind us had a different young lady as their waitress. The same waitress who continually checked on the group who came in a bit after us and was greeted differently/served early.

I got the vibe that African American guests were definitely not treated with the same vigor and welcoming energy especially considering the same woman who warmly welcomed the group after us (who were not African American) was the same lady who walked us to our table and walked away.

I let my husband know that had we not placed our orders. I would have suggested we leave. Do not believe I will be returning to this location. I will give props where it is due, the food was good but I believe the same service should be given to all costumers no matter what you look like.

Ari was wonderful. She creatively discovered that my husband and I were there to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary (BTS night impeded an evening celebration lol). She brought us a complimentary dessert and fresh squeezed orange juice (we declined the champagne she was kindly offering.) what a lovely, delicious, memorable experience. Thank you Iron Rooster and especially grateful to Ari.

My sister, who had dined there before with friends, referred me to this restaurant. We thought it would be an excellent place to take my mom (86 years old) on an outing. Unfortunately, we made this decision too late to make a reservation the day before. However, the front desk staff accommodated our five-party when we arrived.
My niece ordered the Mimosa Flight for the table, which was good. I ordered my old favorite, the very generous portion of Chicken and Waffles with home fries. Once it came out, I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I had to take the half of it home.
We had the absolute best waitress, Daniela. She was so patient and went the extra mile for my mother, who can be picky, with a genuine smile every step of the way.
The atmosphere was family-style and well-lit.
I noticed on the menu that they also have an AM happy hour. Okay, Iron Rooster; cheers to a productive work day. ??

We had a wonderful experience for our 1st visit! The food was delicious and the customer service was top notch! Our waitress Evelyn with the beautiful eyes was fantastic!! She gave wonderful recommendations and was really friendly. The manager Daniel was very personable when he came to check on us. He even attempted to find the Eagles ? game for us. A ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience…we will definitely be back with more of our friends!

OMG! I had no idea. The FOOD…. I was expecting the same ol’, “run of the mill” breakfast, but… the CRABBY OMLET was out of sight! And the CHICKEN & WAFFLES?!!! DELISCH! Our server, Evelyn, was an angel. She was kind, patient, and had the most BEAUTIFUL gray eyes! The manager, Daniel, was a dream too! He actually took the time to chat with us about our meal and receive our opinion. EXCELLENT customer service. It was an awesome experience and because of it, I plan to be a regular customer!

From the moment I walked in to the comforting aroma of coffee, waffles, and bacon, I knew this was a good choice. The cozy atmosphere with views of the bustling street, paired with fast service to start the day. I had the vegetarian, arugula, watermelon, and feta salad, which was a perfect portion for a meal-salad. Hubby had the brisket hash which looked and smelled wonderful. It is two steps up from your everyday hash -just like everything at Iron Rooster. I would definitely recommend!

Vegetarian options: There were egg options, avocado toast, omlettes, and salads to choose from.
