Everything was tops from parking to food service. Thank you. Thank you James Clark from food service for going above to make sure my dining experience was enjoyable and your service was top notch. Thank you for your professionalism and attention to detail.
I recommend The Hotel at University of Maryland, since the facilities are new, the room confortable and the localization is quite good. I was attending a sicentific meeting at the hotel and everything was well organized. My only complain is that the air conditioning was set at a very low temperature and I needed to use extra clothing.
This hotel is a perfect 10 when visiting College Park located right outside the university. The staff, location and amenities are great. Rooms are large and clean, beds are comfortable. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. Great gym and pool. We have stayed multiple times, only place we stay
This is a lovely 5 star hotel, to host your special events, birthday parties and more. As well as the luxurious rooms. I enjoyed my stay. Great customer service and a great place to stay. Lovely Hotel
The Hotel at the University of Maryland is outstanding. It has all the amenities that a luxury hotel has. The bed is so comfortable and there is Iilly coffee and a top notch coffee machine in-room. Staff was very helpful too. I would have stayed another night if I had the time.
The convenience of the college being nearby, eating at a great restaurant, staying in a clean and quite comfortable room, with engaging with very nice staff made my stay a great experience. I would definitely come back again.
I had a great stay at the Hotel UMD! The hotel was in a great location in town for a quick business trip. Lots of food and beverage outlets in the hotel and close by. Parking was easy and convenient. The hotel was GORGEOUS and I love the hotel bar right in the middle of the lobby! The room was well appointed with a fantastic bathroom and lighting package. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were very high quality - I had a great sleep. The breakfast restaurant was great - the bagels were solid (I have high standards living in Brooklyn), and the restaurant staff was friendly and fast. Every team member I encountered had a smile and a friendly word. I'll definitely return when my travels bring me back to the area!
We had an amazing time, Mike Love, our shuttle guy went out of his way to make us comfortable, welcome and knowledgeable about the area! We stayed in a king room and the view was incredible. Everything on site you could need or want.
I really enjoyed my trip and my stay with my family. The Hotel was excellent wish I could have stayed a little longer I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. It was clean and staff was very professional.
After 13 hours of driving in stop and go traffic on I95, we were in desperate need of a place to spend the night. Everything about our experience at The Hotel at the University of Maryland was excellent -- from the welcoming, friendly staff to the over-the-top reception our 4 year old Portuguese Water Dog received. The room was attractive, clean and quiet. Both the service and food at the two restaurants, easily accessed from inside the hotel, were wonderful. We highly recommend this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay while visiting UMD. Was very convenient, modern, clean and delightful experience. The front desk was helpful, checkin and checkout easy and having the UMD staff onsite for a busy day made check in and walk to campus easy as well. Would come back and recommend.
I am currently on my 5th and final day at this hotel, and I am extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service here with the exception of the service technician, Mersada, who is a Godsend. I was originally booked for a 1 bedroom suite here but it had all sorts of electricity issues and no other suites were available so I was downgraded to a studio (but charged the same). That didn’t bother me because I am really just here to work, but what has been truly upsetting is the fact that it’s impossible to get housekeeping to clean. Firstly, no one mentioned to me at check-in that house keeping only comes if you call. This would have been especially helpful to know because they have a digital system in the room that allows you to press a “service” button indicating that your room needs to be cleaned. Intuitively one would think that calls them to clean your room. After 3 days of pressing this button and returning each day to a room that had not been touched, I called the front desk and the guy explained to me that we need to call to request it. He said he was sending house keeping up right away so I left the room to come work in the Lobby. I saw house keeping in the hallway where my room was an assumed my room would be next since he said he was sending them to clean my room. After working in the VERY loud lobby for over 3 hours, I returned upstairs only to discover my room had not been cleaned. I spoke to the house keeper in the hallway and she said she would only be cleaning check outs, not any current guest rooms. This morning, I made ANOTHER attempt to get my room cleaned. The lady at the front desk said she would be sending someone “shortly”. I spoke to a member of the housekeeping staff in the hallway and they also confirmed they would call to make sure someone comes. Well law and behold, 3 hours later, yet again…..nothing. At this point, I am completely over it, and just want to leave. The only saving grace and sole reason that I am giving this review any stars is because Mersada was truly amazing. She was the only staff member that cared when I was having issues and got me into a new room swiftly and went above and beyond to get me additional lighting so that I could work well despite their technical difficulties. She truly has a “can-do” , customer-centered, spirit and everyone else can stand to learn from her. If you want to stay in a dirty room for the entirely of your stay then come here, but just know, house keeping will not come, and the front desk will not care.
I give this experience 5 stars thank you for your services I will be back soon! The staff was great! The location was excellent! The room was amazing! Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay and will surely be coming back soon! Thank you!
I stayed at The Hotel for two nights for a conference and I enjoyed staying there a lot. Located in side the campus, I and my wife enjoyed the campus walk during my stay with early morning breakfast with bagels which they seem to be proud of.
I arrived 3/13 at 3pm. The front desk informed me the system was down and would like be another hour before I could check in. Roughly 40 min later newly arriving guests started checking in. Clearly it was expecting too much for them to advise the 6 guests seated in front of them the system was up. Upon arriving to my room I noticed the light in the toilet room didn't work. I called maintenance and was told the system was complicated and it would take days to repair. I also had to call the front desk for the wifi code as it would have been too much to tell me or write it on my key envelope as most hotels do. The wifi speed is slow 40 mbps. On returning at 9pm the next night I found that my room was not cleaned. This was true for all three night. I also told the front desk that the ice machine on the 5th floor was working, but also was never corrected. It looks shiny and new, but the operation of things is poor. As other reviews have noted the staff is not helpful. Upon check out I was not asked how my stay was, but instead told to put my key in the overstuffed glass box after I extend it to her. I get the impression the light in room 517 is still not working.
