Bonchon - Columbia

We placed our order online not knowing whether we were going to eat inside or not, but because we had two young kids (1YO and 2YO) with us, ordered in advance so we wouldn’t have to wait inside for food with them for 20 minutes. After I set my kids up with their food and they had been eating for about five minutes or so, we were told because we placed our order online that we couldn’t eat inside (not kids were eating). Yet we had just paid for two alcoholic beverages. We were told they wouldn’t refund us our money for our drinks because they were already made, but we could stay and drink them and the kids couldn’t eat while we did. I asked if there was a manager we could speak to, and they said “we are the managers” which was hard to believe. After complaining, the guy told us we needed to leave and the woman told me she would refund me money for my drink if I didn’t want it. After complaining some more because they originally told us they wouldn’t refund us, she told us she would give us to go cups for our alcohol (which I thought was illegal). I don’t recommend this place at all, especially if you have young children.

I’ve had better experiences at other locations. The food satisfied our hunger but that was it. We honestly should’ve left as soon as we felt the sticky floor and table. Ordered wings but had to ask for them to add more sauce because they were so dry the first time. Was honestly very disappointed as I love bon chon. Maybe it was an off day for them idk.

Yes I have nothing against the restaurant, because in the past at different bonchons the food is great. Unfortunately the website advertised that they're open till 2:00 in the morning. I arrived at 1:43 a.m., yes I know I've taken a chance and there's a big open sign on the front of the building, and the doors are open as I walked in. The young lady looked at me and said I'm sorry the kitchen just closed. I said okay and I walked out at 1:44 a.m.. even though they're advertised to be open till 2:00 a.m.. so if you come here, make sure you get here before 1:43 a.m. nobody was rude or disrespectful, and currently it's 1:53 a.m. and the open sign is still on. You might be lucky to order online before coming like I did.

Food was bland no seasoning on the chicken just breading and sauce which is very pricey for the lack of flavor. Also stay way from the fried rice. Absolutely the worst fried rice I’ve had ever

My first experience here was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly and received excellent service from the entire staff. The location is clean, conveniently situated, and offers ample parking. The food was delicious, and the wait time was very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back!

The Manager Brian is great! The wings are outstanding, fresh and hot. The chicken bugulgi tacos were decent. The service is awesome.

Bonchon is a great spot to dine in when you’re in Columbia, especially if you’re already at the mall. The fries are crispy and flavorful, the wings could be better in my opinion, the tacos are a solid choice, but the real star is the spicy chicken sandwich. It is packed with flavor and heat. Definitely worth trying if you’re in the area!

Really great spot. We had Sidney who was really great. Very warm and inviting. She helped us choose the chicken katsu and bulgogi fries and it was incredible. Definitely recommend.
