The staff were very friendly, the show for cooking was great, and the food was great, though slightly overcooked. Some of the things they offer/do are a bit different from other Japanese steakhouses I've been to but in a good way. One different thing they do is that they offer a little sake while they cook and fake sake for the kids as part of the show. It doesn't cost extra or anything like that, just want to inform those of you who have to drive, it's still a great place to eat.

We were seated for 15 minutes and had already given the waiter our dinner orders. About 10 minutes after that, a group of three was then seated with us. Considering we had already ordered our main courses, the time the new group took to order added onto our wait.
Our order was further delayed when the chef dumped a large amount of soy sauce on the rice because the top wasnโt properly fastened and had to start over with the rice.
For a mandatory 20% gratuity with a group of 5, the service shouldโve been better. When I attempted to inquire about the mandatory gratuity, the manager only shrugged his shoulders and said nothing.
I would get takeout but would never dine in again.

Fun hibachi spot, seems like the go-to in the area. Both the server and the chef were very attentive and engaging. We really enjoyed the spatula work from the chef and I m always one for catching food in my mouth. Seems like a great place for large groups or just a fun event and they definitely give you plenty of food.

The go-to place for hibachi in Howard County. Chefs are entertaining while cooking up great food. I highly recommend the filet as it practically melts in your mouth. The only part of the experience that was lacking in my latest visit was the table service. We had long waits for refills and waited over 15-min after boxing up our leftovers for the waiter to bring the check, which we still had to flag him down and ask to bring it. With more attentive service, this would easily be a 5-star review.

Food just wasn't up to the prices. Primarily because of how it was prepared. Second we were at a Habacci table and a woman and her son needed their steak cooked more. The chef rather than wait until all the other food was finished cooking on the grill placed their food back on the grill with the same cooking utensils he was using for all the food. This is a major no no in food safety. After that I completely lost any desire to finish my meal.

Visited Koto Sake Steak House in Columbia this evening. The service was awesome. We were seated right away and our waiter was very personable and attentive.
I started out with the Seafood Spring rolls. They were stuffed well with veggies and from what I can taste and tell, shrimp and crab meat. They came with a sweet chili sauce which complimented the spring rolls well.
For the entree, I chose the pick 3 hibachi. I usually get steak, chicken, and shrimp. Today, I wanted to try something different. So I tried the steak, chicken, and scallops.
Our cook/chef was awesome and he was accommodating to everyone at the table. He was funny and entertaining. He cooked our food to perfection. Everything was tasty and cooked perfectly.
I enjoyed myself and the food. I would recommend trying this place. On a side note, I have eaten here for sushi and I recommend their sushi as well!

Koto Sake is a favorite for our family, of every age, but especially my 92 year old mother in law. Every time we go it's a great treat. We celebrated her birthday with Koto and the staff sang and danced with the birthday girl, it was wonderful!
Always welcoming, the service is fantastic, the sushi is creative and delicious, and beautifully presented. There are big booths for comfortable seating. Hibachi is available in the main sushi dining room, or also as hibachi seating where the chef prepares the meal in front of you.
Take out is a great option we enjoy as well.
Always a relaxing, delightful meal. 5 stars with the exception of
4 stars for atmosphere, only for the tvs in the sushi bar area - that is not something I prefer when eating out.

I took my fiance to this dump for her birthday what a disaster, they don't use Yakisoba Noodles Chinese Wheat Noodle they use spaghetti noodles, the vegetables are overcooked, the rice taste like something from the dollar store, definitely not Jasmine Rice, the cook mixed burnt particles from the grill that appears to be cleaned, all of the food has no flavor, Also the waiter brings the check if you check no tip the owner tells people you must leave tip the waiter is new she did not add it well the owner is on the register not the waiter totally B.S. the furniture wall old and unstable with some cheap black plastic and this place is in Columbia MD, to anyone that reads this post if you visit Kobis Japanese Steakhouse in Whitemarsh you will never visit Koto Sake again KOBIS IN WHITEMARSH IS ONE

This place was great. Food was awesome. Chef was very friendly. The only reason I'm doing 4 stars is because the chef asked us all how we wanted our steak (most said medium rare, I said rare) and my steak was closer to medium (no pink). But it was still delicious.
The party room was perfect for our birthday gathering of 16 people. It was nicely private, the cook & service was outstanding, and some great memories were made.
