Located in Columbia Palace Plaza, the restaurant stays true to the brand, though the menu is missing some island favorites like beef or curry stew options and laulau, which is typical for mainland franchise locations. The food has the taste you expect from L&L, and portion sizes are described as pretty good by some, though others feel the portions seem light compared to locations in Hawaii, California, and Virginia.

The Spam musubi comes with two and receives high praise—the nori was not soggy, the spam was fried perfectly, and the teriyaki sauce was the perfect amount. The Saimin has a broth that is on point with a good amount of green onion and three half moon slices of kamaboku, though the noodles were soggy. The combo plate with Chicken Katsu and BBQ Short Ribs features crispy, well-seasoned Chicken Katsu and flavorful Kalbi-style BBQ Short Ribs. The Mac Salad is a standout—creamy, classic, and absolutely ono. Service is friendly and patient, even during the grand opening rush. The atmosphere seemed a little bland, but the local music is appreciated. There is an app for takeout orders and reward points, and catering is available.
