It's been a while, but the food was so so. Our server took 35 minutes to take our order because he kept running back and forth from a table of 8 to the kitchen and not managing the rest of his tables. I am not sure why we stayed, except that we had received our drinks and did not want to leave without paying.

I've been hearing great things about Hornets Nest Grille for awhile now. Several of my coworkers live up near the Damascus area, and always rave about this place. So, today I decided to give them a try, and see for myself. I ordered the grilled chicken cobb salad for lunch. It was nicely put together including all my favorites (ie: blue cheese crumbles, hard-boiled eggs, nice thick slices of avocado). I definitely want to explore the other options on the menu & look forward to visiting again in the near future.

A truly great place for lunch or dinner, with some excellent craft beers on tap. Their crab soup is wonderful. The fish and chips are great. The crab cake sandwich was loaded with crab.

This restaurant is slipping. At one time, it was very good, but not anymore. We live in the neighborhood and used to go all the time. Until we started noticing the drop in quality. Tonight was just another disappointment. In the past, I would have put their wings up against anybody, including Anchor Bar. Tonight, I got refried wings. That's right, refried wings. They clearly threw cooked wings back in the fryer, and after complaining, the manager confirmed my assessment. That's exactly what they did. The wings were dry, oily, and rubbery. I was hungry and ate half of them, then just quit. I couldn't eat the other half. They apologized, charged me for those horrible wings, and then gave me a conditional gift certificate. Like I said, this once great restaurant is slipping. They're quickly becoming a greasy spoon cafe with second-rate food. And they don't seem to really care. Sad.

Just had the Steak Oscar... AMAZING and the staff was so friendly!
I am currently experiencing food poisoning from the Nest. The Steak Oscar made me so sick, I had to go to urgent care. This isn't the first, second, or third time this is happened and it's my fault for not learning my lesson in the last 7 years. Management acts like the "regulars" are not customers and degrades us to other employees. I have proof. It's pretty pathetic.I'm done giving this place my business and they have never even offered a refund or anything else when the food makes me sick/is overcooked/undercooked/frozen.---This is the my review at 3am when I couldn't leave the bathroom ---'I've been up half the night with explosive poops thanks to the food I ate from The Hornets Nest. I feel absolutely miserable. I should have known when the crab tasted like tin, the steak was all cooked to different temps, and the sauce tasted bitter. I'm done going there. This is the second time in two weeks the food there has made me sick."

I've only gotten take out from this place and the food is very good except one thing the Jambalaya over rice is the worst I've ever had in my life all because the cook over cooked the rice it was mushy and stuck together it was
