The food was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the menu offers a solid mix of comfort food classics and creative options. It’s the kind of place where you struggle to decide what to order because everything sounds good. Service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home without being intrusive. Drinks came quickly, food arrived hot, and we never felt rushed — a perfect balance. What really sets Hornet’s Nest apart is that authentic “local gem” vibe. It doesn’t feel corporate or cookie-cutter; it feels like a true community restaurant where people know each other and take pride in what they do. If you’re in the Damascus area and looking for a dependable spot with great food, fair prices, and welcoming service, Hornet’s Nest Grille is absolutely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be coming back. “Pizza was very good. Regular cheese, well done, was one of the best in the area. We also got the 5 cheese which was both unique and delicious.

The Italian beef sandwich was very good. Flavors were great, the giardiniera had a mild heat, and the beef was thin, tender and …beefy. Recommend ordering a second cup of jus to really get the bread wet.”

“My son and I love music, especially rock. to be able to order a smoothie named after some of our favorite artists is awesome. secretly hoping they will come out with a Cobain 🤞. They have games to play at the tables which makes it really fun! great atmosphere, amazing people and delicious smoothies!”

“I have been going to Tom and Rays since the old location. What makes them stand out is the cost conscience menu, fresh tasting food, and a staff mostly local high school kids that are professional with can do attitude. Right now I’m raving about something as simple as stewed tomatoes as a complementary side dish. Their breakfast foods including creamed chipped beef fresh. Their lunch and dinner foods bring you back, especially the open faced beef sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy, to a simpler time. Check out their menu and ask them about their pies.”

“My partner and I have frequented this Starbucks location since they came to town, and we've been incredibly pleased by the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff. Heck, the morning crew knows us by name - and yeah, that's likely a sign that we probably spend a little too much time there, but the level of effort that takes isn't a realistic expectation from a quick-service facility, and it makes us feel incredibly special.

Concerning some of the negative reviews, sure, the lines are sometimes long during peak hours, but what would you expect? We've seen this crew absolutely SLAMMED and yet the politeness and the professionalism remains.

I'm glad we have this Starbucks in Damascus and I hope they remain a staple in the community for years to come. Cheers!”

“This is a pretty unassuming spot with some pretty tasty food. My wife said the only chicken she liked better was Jollibee, but that's a Filipino thing and should be taken as bias. 😂”

“This is my favorite Chinese place in the area. Food is always super good, and I always look forward to when we get it for take out. I have also eaten in the actual restaurant a few times, and it has always been a nice meal. I personally highly recommend the steamed dumplings and the combo lo mein, this place has the best of the best!!”

“I order from SUBWAY many times for myself and my work colleagues and the 2 ladies who are always working lunch time are amazing! They are so kind and they also make sure to do the best job. Everything is always very organized and I appreciate their attention to detail. The Sandwiches are always delicious and made exactly how we order them! Thank you!”

He suggested the cheesesteak, and it was incredible—easily one of the best I’ve had. His knowledge of the menu and excellent customer service really stood out. Salomon went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and his recommendation did not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back”

“The BEST VALUE all-you-can-eat place! Excellent, fresh food and clean!!! (even their women's bathroom is clean!) And great services, especially Amy! By the way, it is hard for me to believe this restaurant does not get 5 stars! We travel all the way from VA to this place at least two times a month. We just love it!!! P.S. I read the reviews that did not give them 5 stars and feel those reviews may not be fair to them. As an example, one review gave them a 4-star commenting food is great, quality is great, but expensive. Yes, if you compare this place with most cheap Chinese all you can ear places, $33 does seem expensive. However, fresh and high-quality food cost me. I am willing to pay extra for good, fresh food. As another example, I was shocked to see a review giving them only 3 stars commenting she got sick (even though she said she loved the food there). I was wondering if she did not cook her food well in the hot pot, or she couldn't handle the spices.”

“We had a real tradition al family style soup meal. The snakehead fish was very tasty and perfectly done. The cucumber salad was amazing. The fresh watermelon juice was perfect to cool the heat of the soup.”

“Great atmoshere, high-end stylish dining room, comfortable seating. The salmon dish was delicious and a large portion. The spinach rice side dish was so delicious! The Ravini Politiko, coconut cake was the best I ever ate! The Thalissina, seafood pasta had plenty of seafood in it and delicious. Even the cappaccino was delicious, very smooth, no bitterness and taste great with dessert! The server, Baris, was attentive, friendly and did a great job taking care of us. Great place to eat, homemade dishes and desserts! Highly recommend it. I will be back!”
