“We had an amazing time yesterday. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed their west coast IPA (sharing the universe) and their bier de garde (interesting twang- sour with pineapple). They had lots of places to sit outside and we really enjoyed watching and listening to the farm animals. Looking forward to coming back for their bluegrass festival in May.”

“So excited about all the great things that are happening with Black Ankle. My husband and I are wine lovers and really have come to love Black Ankle. The wine is seriously the best in Maryland. I am a current wine club member and we recently had the most delightful time visiting your vineyard! Matt was our tasting expert. We learned it was his first time doing the tasting with guests and he is so remarkably knowledgeable, kind, fun and patient. Good customer service is hard to find these days, let alone outstanding! “Waffle with rum-butter sauce and sugar crusting was way too sweet. Waffle was perfect. But I should have known better. This is a wonderful venue. Coffee is superb. Wished staff had checked mugs more often. Overall, this is one of those great independent “mom and pops.” It’s a happy place. I had a view into the kitchen. There was a lot of hand-washing and cleaning.”

“Nice little spot inside an Exxon gas station. Very friendly service. Food is good. Prices are okay. Not a place to stay and eat, but there a couple of chairs. Best for take out. Highly recommend the tacos de asada, chorizo, and any of the tortas.”

“The owner and employees are always so nice and welcoming. I've only ever gotten the smoothies but I love to get them for a treat! Everything is customizable and made to order. It is a little pricy but you get fresh ingredients unlike other smoothie places who just use fruit juice. Recommend if you're craving something healthier!”
