My first time visiting was today and I just didn't feel the warmth nor have the experience that others experienced. I did an online order, I walked in and it still wasn't ready which is OK. The staff seemed to be pleasant but I just didn't get that treatment. Everyone was soft spoken but a little sharp and short with me, when my order came up it was called and dropped on the counter while I was standing there and I had to ask was it mine and the girl still didn't check and make sure. Instead, I picked up the bag and looked and took it and walked out because I was annoyed with the treatment. I get to my food and the bagel was toasted (I didn't ask for this) which caused the asiago to be burned and bagel to be darker (the photo lightens it due to camera resolution but nope). The sandwich was mostly egg w a slither of a sausage, I asked for utensils and none where put into the bag. I just won't be back, I won't say anything more than what I said but I felt like a non paying customer and NEVER again with my hard earned money. Best of luck to your business in these trying times.

Vegan Breakfast Bagel. I wish I would have taken a picture, but that’s how good it was! I got a vegan breakfast sandwich and bought a hash brown and broke it in half and put it on my sandwich and it did NOT disappoint. That was the best vegan breakfast sandwich that I’ve ever had in my life. I ordered with DoorDash so I’m uncertain about how the actual restaurant is, but judging it from that sandwich, 10’a across the board!!

I ordered grilled cheese and tomato soup and had it delivered with DoorDash. When I received my order, the soup was missing and I was a little sad. I reported it through DoorDash and got a credit. For some reason, I called the café to let them know. They were immediately apologetic and offered to bring soup to my house, personally, to my home. It turns out, the driver set one of my bags down and did not pick it up when they left. So my bag of soup was sitting on the counter. This was not a mistake they made, yet they corrected it even after I explained that I received DoorDash credit. The tomato basil soup is amazing and it comes with crackers. The grilled cheese sandwich is also spectacular, and it comes with a tiny side salad. You cannot complain about any of this, it is all good food. The fact that someone drove soup to me that The DoorDasher left and got it to me while my sandwich was still hot speaks volumes about the customer service at this establishment. I wish more places were like Joanna’s diner.

Been here twice and I have absolutely zero complaints. So many businesses are either neutral or don’t care about quality service, and this one is definitely neither. I’m gluten sensitive and both days I visited the food was incredible. The people are very nice as well, great staffing choices. Highly recommend!
I've been going here for years. The food and service are phenomenal, but there's something in the air that feels like cutting onions. My eyes start stinging and watering the moment I enter. It's really weird and I can't explain it, but it makes it MISERABLE to be inside for any length of time.
The first couple times it happened, I asked about it, but the staff acted like I was crazy and had no idea what I was talking about. ? So idk if everyone will have this experience, but I always stick to takeout.

We recently moved away from the area but in the year that we were here we frequented Joanna's Cafe. Enjoyed their good food as well as iced coffees. My wife and I enjoyed coming here and spending time. We enjoyed that we were referred to by our first names...hard to remember names in a heavily populated area and in a fast paced cafe environment. So that was a good feeling. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area. You won't be disappointed. Good food, good coffee and the staff and owner are very friendly! -Dani and Jason

Came across the cafe while I was in the area- cute and cozy atmosphere with a spacious outdoor seating area too- most important I love that they have vegan? options which are really delicious! And everyone is super nice!

Ordered chicken salad sandwich on Doordash. I've eaten glued together rib meat chicken before but never on a chicken salad sandwich. I expected real chicken breast, especially for the price. I'm not familiar with this place so didn't know that's what they served. With cafe in the name and the price I expected good meat.
