Huge restaurant in The Tidewater Inn. Price points are quite low for a hotel restaurant. Chile with chunks of beef. Small Caesar Salad was not small. Cream of Crab Soup was excellent. Beet Salad was the best I've ever had - arugula, pistachios, and goat cheese!Parking: Downtown location. Plenty of parking nearby, plan for a short walkKid-friendliness: Great kids menu. No Hot Dogs!

We were dining on a busy evening during a busy weekend in town including the threat of an incoming winter storm. Nonetheless, service was good, the kitchen prompt and the food was very nicely prepared. Gluten Free options exceeded expectations and the brûlée dessert trio was great! The table next to us lost their server at some point but overall everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and evening.

I really love the overall ambiance and atmosphere at the Hunters Tavern. It's a great place for a large groups and small. It feels lux at the same time intimate and romantic. Food is good to very good (largish portions) and drinks have been consistently excellent, with liberal pours of high quality spirits.

Thank you for providing a lovely spot for a family dinner. We all loved our meals - the burger, lamb chops, rockfish, and pork. The restaurant was full, but service was prompt. We will be back!

I took my mother for her 81st birthday and a friend for lunch. This is not my first time here and have always loved the place. The waiter couldn't give me the name of a fish other than it was from Indonesia. He scolded my mother for having a napkin in her lap and would not place her drink until she put it on the table. We were short on utensils and an over filled water glass had spilled in her lap. The food was not to the usual standard, dry and my mothers meat loaf was grainy. I called the next day and here we are a week later, no return call.Pretty unreasonable for this establishment.

Took my mother and a friend for my mother's 81st birthday. We have been many times before this experience. The waiter scolded my mother for having her napkin in her lap because her water glass was filled too high and spilled. We were shout a utensil set and he would not place her drink until she put her napkin back... he failed to bring a cocktail napkin. I asked about the fish and he stated it was an Indonesian fish and walked away.. The food was not up to par and was dry. Called the next day and have yet to get a return phone call. Disappointed this has changed this much.
