We were dining on a busy evening during a busy weekend in town including the threat of an incoming winter storm. Nonetheless, service was good, the kitchen prompt and the food was very nicely prepared. Gluten Free options exceeded expectations and the brûlée dessert trio was great! The table next to us lost their server at some point but overall everyone seemed to be enjoying their food and evening.
I really love the overall ambiance and atmosphere at the Hunters Tavern. It's a great place for a large groups and small. It feels lux at the same time intimate and romantic. Food is good to very good (largish portions) and drinks have been consistently excellent, with liberal pours of high quality spirits.

Huge restaurant in The Tidewater Inn. Price points are quite low for a hotel restaurant. Chile with chunks of beef. Small Caesar Salad was not small. Cream of Crab Soup was excellent. Beet Salad was the best I've ever had - arugula, pistachios, and goat cheese!Parking: Downtown location. Plenty of parking nearby, plan for a short walkKid-friendliness: Great kids menu. No Hot Dogs!
