The Delmarva omelette was great. The burger, not on the brunch menu, was also good. However it was served dry and the condiments, which were served on the side, did not come out with the burger. The service, while friendly, was super slow. It took several minutes for a server to come to our table. Ironically, the folks at the next table, who were seated 5 minutes after we were, saw a server before we did.
Very friendly staff, though they should not talk about tipping even in casual conversation. Table was not entirely clean when we were sat. Soups were very good, stuffed artichoke could have benefitted from a bit more steaming to make it softer, though very tasty. Had the specials, soft shell crabs were delightful, though the Brussel sprouts were very very firm and despite the lovely bacon, had no flavor at all. The setting is just right, beautiful place. Servings were quite generous....
We were guests at the hotel and after a long day, Hunters' Tavern was our choice. Observations: (1) This place is noisy. Hard surfaces everywhere, no sound absorption. A party in the back room (no door to cut the sound) just added to the racket, in particular when they started to break up and insisted on having loud conversations in the middle of the restaurant. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing evening meal, look somewhere else. (2) Food was OK but not great....
