Our 1st time here and we had a really nice meal. We were seated quickly and checked on several times. The server was knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back wit friends.

If you are looking for some good German food, this will satisfy your craving. The Rathskeller also has a great selection of great German beers (didn't get a chance to look at the wine this time). the German sausage from Binkerts is incredible and the sauerbraten melts in your mouth. My mom is German and I have stayed with relatives several times in Bavaria. I have not tried the schnitzel yet but the sausage, sauerbraten, and red cabbage are the best in Maryland.

We eat here several times a year. Food is consistently good, especially the wurst. Draft beer list was a bit disappointing this time, with only two German beers and the rest from US. Upstairs and downstairs were both full, so service was challenged. Even so, food came out prepared properly (not undercooked or charred like sometimes happens when kitchen backs up). Overall we had a good meal and will return.

Good food, good beer, good atmosphere

We absolutely love it here! My 10 yr old loves going to the place that makes "flat meat" after doing her Irish Dance class on Fridays. Everyone has been great and very attentive.

The food was outstanding and even though several in my group had not been to The Ratheskeller before, they were already planning when to go back so they could try other things, too.

I took my family to have a German meal. Everything was wonderful! We had a great time and enjoyed the experience. Service was fantastic!

This is a hidden gem that prepares the BEST German food in Baltimore. Excellent beer selection and amazing schnitzels and German sausages. The braised red cabbage is so delicious that it's mind blowing how something as boring as red cabbage can taste so freaking amazing! I could eat there every week and never get tired of the cuisine.

Food was outstanding! Service was a little slow but they were very busy so thats to be expected. We were seated upstairs which was a little weird. No decorations and a bit awkward. Overall, will definitely go back because the food is worth it.

The employees at the bar were very loud. The jager schnitzel was very good. The Apple strudel was just ok, not the best. The prices were very high.

Excellent food and service! Our party of six had a great time and we will make this restaurant a regular stop in the future!

Sausage platter with red cabbage and spatzel was great. Beer was amazing, especially the rare German imports. Would highly recommend for families, date night, great hangout spot for German grub with locale flare.

My wife and I are quite familiar with the Rathskellar having dined there many times since it opened. This was the first time we have been there for lunch. Took my sister and nephew and as newbies they thoroughly enjoyed their chicken cordon bleu. We enjoyed the always excellent food and the service was exactly right. Never a disappointment at the Rathskellar!

Food and drinks were AWESOME! For the 3 of us we bought a Crab Pretzel appetizer and a Combo platter. Service was very good but no serving utensils were provided for our shared side dishes that came with the Combo platter. Since we are family we used our personal utensils but this really should not happen.
