Have an amazing evening from start to finish. The place was absolutely beautiful and the hostess was incredibly welcoming. Tony our server was friendly, helpful with suggestions and absolutely amazing with his demeanor and knowledge of the Elkridge. Michael I believe the manager came to the table to see how we were and told us about the menus during the year, Michael and his staff were everything you want when going out to a lovely date night. I had the elk short rib with duck sausage and my wife had the lamb both meals surpassed expectation. Beautifully presented and it wasn't over powered with sauces and seasoning but truly showcased the quality of the food. Mushrooms and escargot to start were phenomenal. Will 100% return!!!!!
Fabulous. Bring your appetite and be sure to meet Chef Dan. The service and food are impeccable.
We loved everything about The Elkridge Furnace Inn. Every staff member was warm, welcoming and gracious. Our server was knowledgeable about each item and helped us make our decisions. The four of us each ordered something different for appetizers, entrees and dessert. We all raved about our selections to the manager who stopped by to see how we were enjoying our evening. The steaks were fantastic, the branzino was cooked perfectly and the seafood thermidor was delicious. The sides were tasty and everything was prepared like a work of art. This was our first visit and we will definitely return soon. Thank you for a perfect evening.
Here's a restaurant that pays attention to the details! Beginning with a warm reception from our server, Tony, the staff never missed a beat in delivering a memorable farm-to-table experience which we truly enjoyed. Our food was thoughtfully prepared and delicious, and the wine selection is excellent. Well done!
Wonderful in every respect. Historic and mellow vibe. Dinner was superbly prepared and served professionally. Highly recommended.
Everything was fantastic. It was the perfect place for a quiet dinner. The historic ambience was especially appealing. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. Highly recommend.
Friends, don't walk. Run to The Elkridge Furnace Inn! From the incredibly fresh and tasty foods to the amazing service and culinary staff, this historic restaurant has everything a foodie, family, and everything in-between might need for a meal. There is both indoor and outdoor seating with bathrooms on multiple levels of the restaurant. The space itself is cozy and intimate, balancing delicately with the surrounding garden with greens and veggies that find their way to your plate. They do true farm to table here! Our family had a great assortment of dishes. For apps and mains, we ordered the caesar salad, heirloom tomato soup, poussin, risotto, and fish du jour (branzino). And we tried two sweet treats - the chocolate cake and cheesecake. Everything was IMMACULATE! Clean Plate Club in every dish. The seasonings were spot on. The portion sizes were kind. Even though we were full, we wanted to try more things!! If all of the above doesn't already have you heading to The Elkridge Furnace Inn, please go to support the people who keep the ovens and lights on with their talent in the kitchen and dining rooms! You won't find a better team to make sure you have the most wonderful night. Whether you want someplace a little fancy to impress a date or you're flying into BWI and want a fantastic first meal, this is the place. The biggest shout-outs to Audrey, Howie, Michael, and Chef for being absolutely magical! Thank you!
Last night was our 2nd visit to this area and to this restaurant because it's such a special place. We even brought our friend, a DC Michelin chef, to dine with us. The entire experience was wonderful, the staff very professional and knowledgeable, and the food beautifully presented and delicious. I have food sensitivities and allergies, and the food was safe for me both visits. I'm adding comments about this place to the Find Me Gluten Free app. The chef visited our table twice and, after dinner, gave us an historical tour of the place. Fantastic evening.
Food was excellent. However it took 40 minutes of sitting before drinks arrived and there was no bread at the table, unusual for such an expensive restaurant. Between the wedding outside (loud music with bass thumping) and the toddler at the table next to us playing kid movies with no headphones (very rude parents and the manager didn't mind) any romantic ambiance was dead.
The food was outstanding, the ambience is excellent. Great service also. I recommend the Nocino Sour, if you're into cocktails. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked.

Just having moved to the area this was our first time. It is a lovely location, historic building, and a very different and well planned menu. The staff (Michael the manager and Dawson, our server) were great. They were attentive but not overbearing. The honey lavender duck breast was among the best I have ever had. Wine pairings were really good. The short rib was perfectly done. We'll be back
We always love coming here. The service, especially our server, Dawson, was impeccable. From the woman who met us at the door and knew our special needs, to the chef, to the interning server, to Dawson, everything was perfect
Probably my favorite restaurant. Been here many times and the food and service is consistently excellent and the setting is beautiful. Our server was Audrey and she was great! Very personable and friendly. Parking can be tricky if there is an event going on but well worth it!
The seasonal menu never disappoints and service is fantastic. Highly recommend for any occasion.
This restaurant is fabulous♥️. This was our first visit, and we plan on returning often. Undoubtedly, we had the best meal we have had in a very long time. The wait staff was so friendly, attentive and helpful. We had dinner last night, and my husband and I have talked about our experience all morning. Loved it!
