Bonchon Ellicott city

I ordered this time for pickup. Their food has gone down hill for a while and this is last time I eat there. The chicken strips were very dry and they changed the sauce to the point it had little flavor. Even considering it was pickup, they didnt have the crunchy shell/breading they used to have. It was also close to 90 bux for french fries, 18 count strips, and a 12 count mixed. I would suggest finding a local place that makes Korean fried chicken because this Bonchon is not even a shadow of what it used to be:

This was my first time at Bonchon, 5 stars in everything I ate which was fried rice and soy garlic chicken. Kudos to server Olivia she was very friendly. Listen, attitude matters when you are patronizing a business. If you are in the area pay them a visit and even if you are not in the area it is really worth the trip.

Best Bonchon restaurant hands down. I live 1 mile from Towson Bonchons and I drive to Ellicott City because again they are the best from service to food.

Highly recommended to anyone in the area. Get the bulgogi tacos and the fried chicken, soy garlic. Perfect to watch football and eat wings! My favorite fried chicken!

Me and my friends always get the edamame and a bucket of their fried chicken with the soy garlic flavor and it always comes out great. To top it off we get a bottle of soju. The servers are great and attentive. They got a big screen playing sports in the background. Parking is always easy. My only problem is that the bathrooms are always gross.

Bonchon isn’t like the way they used to be. Chicken was saugy, not crispy at all. And they advertised as double fried. It was a fresh take out order and by the time I got to my car it was soft. Also ordered bulgogi fried rice and japchae. Not worth it. Maybe I’ll try other locations next time. Total waste of time and money.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. I promised a lovely luncheon with Bonchon chicken and sides for colleagues. I called the location on Plumtree at 11 am sharp and no one answered. I called for 40 minutes NO ONE ANSWERED, and then a girl who identified herself as the “owner” Alexis Lee, gave me an unprofessional excuse, took my order and didn’t offer any compensation. I was not profane, belligerent or mean, just upset. SHE PLAYED THE VICTIM!! SHE TOLD ME I WAS UPSETTING HER!! I’m contacting Bonchon Corp. to whomever gave this young girl a franchise. They should be sanctioned. What a terrible experience. I’m still shocked.

5 stars for Jamie! The food was great, but the real MVP was our server Jamie. He was the best server I’ve had all year. Speedy, helpful and kind, truly couldn’t ask for better service. Give this guy a raise!!

I’ve been getting food from here for years and I’ve never had this experience and now I would go to a different location of bonchon or go across the street to mission bbq. Unfortunately my order was not taken down correctly for teeokbokki with no fish cakes the first time so upon arrival I confirmed it, and they told me to wait a few mins to remove them. I also proceeded to add onto my order wings then since I am waiting. I waited and it was truly just about 10 mins. What I wasn’t anticipating was that I would have no rice cakes in my order at all so I got watery onions and I spoke to the lady on the phone and she was very kind and told me she could refund the money. We disconnected the call and I proceeded to move onto my wings. Which are raw. And now they won’t answer my calls. I just wanted to eat lunch bro. 😭😭😭😭😭 I don’t complain ever. I don’t make a fuss. I just wanted my lunch from my favorite spot. I have always adored the staff and they are so kind even when the portion sizes change every few months and the prices go up. I never complain. But yall pushed me to my limit. I had all my coworkers look at the wings and they all said it’s partially raw and don’t risk it. I’m still waiting for my refund. 7/17/2025. Order places at 1:23 pm. Had a party at Bonchon in Ellicott City! The service was very nice and the food was awesome.
The chicken sauces were unique and tasty, though they were a bit sweet for my taste. If they toned down the sweetness just a little, I’d probably eat there every day! The pork belly tacos and udon were definitely the highlights. This place is a bit pricey but can satisfy everyone for a special gathering!

According to my son the food was really good and so was the service. My apologies for not knowing the waiter's name but my son really appreciated his patience. My son has some food allergies and the waiter was so kind to address all of my son's concerns regarding his allergies. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!
