My husband and I frequent this place whenever we are craving chicken because it is the best most consistent crispy chicken with yummy sauces. Today is the first time I've had a negative experience. We were in the restaurant for about 45 minutes but our table was only visited twice: once to have our order taken and once more when the food was brought out. We actually had to go to the counter to get our bill and there was no one around when we did so we had to wait for someone to come help us pay. While we were eating there was an employee standing in the bar area but they never came to check on us and there were no other customers in the restaurant at all. This was about 3:15-4pm. We ran out of ranch and couldn't get anyone's attention to bring us more and no one ever brought us a bucket to put our bones into either. We also got the kimchi for the first time and it tasted watered down so I wouldn't order that again. Even when I placed the order there was some confusion because I ordered white rice and she didn't hear me so I repeated myself and they brought us white rice AND fried rice. Mind you, I never saw the woman who took our order again, we just sent the fried rice back immediately with the person who brought it to us. Very unusual experience for this restaurant and it makes me wary to go back if things have taken a turn for the worse here. Usually we leave feeling great and are well taken care of. Very disappointing.

Their chickens are not as good as 5 years ago. The sauce is totally different tasted. If nothing change, the best location for Bonchon chicken is at Columbia, near by the mall.

Giving all 5s with the understanding this isn't a 5-star establishment. For what it is (casual dining), I love this place. It's yummy, reasonably priced, clean, the staff is very knowledgeable and personable (offering recommendations and explanations when needed), and they're close to some lovely bakeries and other fun stores within walking distance. This location is lightyears better than their Pasadena location.

My suggestions are pretty bland as I'm not a pickled or fermented item fan, but their soy garlic sauce is literally to die for. My friends loved their Bao Buns, Tteokbokki, and pickled radish. They even had a Korean street corn, which was also bomb!

Come to Ellicott City for the book stores, stay for the BonChon and bakeries. ?

Vegetarian options: Easy to locate options my vegetarian kiddo would eat.

Bonchon is that hidden place you need to patron if you like wings. Their wings are crisp, tasty, and oh so full of flavor. Their Bulgogi is equally tasty. Take out orders are ready as promised. Dine in is also nice, but then everyone sees how much you have ordered.

Their wings are Korean wings, not the typical hot wings one may have during the Super Bowl. No no no, these are savory wings. They have other varieties, but their standard garlic wings are savory and full of flavor. You cannot just have one.

This place is a rip off. They charge so much and then cant accommodate any request. Food is ok but not worth the hassle and expense.

The service was cheerful, fast and very responsive. I am willing to come back because of their responsiveness. The food was tasty. I got the spicy chicken Bibimbap. It is spicy too! The pork pot stickers were a good appetizer as well. The atmosphere is a sports restaurant. Which is fine, especially if that’s what you are seeking. Pricing is reasonable for the food and they serve alcohol.

I’m very disappointed that this restaurant has been declining. We always get takeout or delivery. I ordered fried rice and paid $3 extra for bulgogi beef. What I got instead was buttery soy sauce rice with onions and one single piece of popcorn shrimp. There were no red bell peppers or scallions as described. Thank goodness it wasn’t my highly shrimp-allergic daughter’s boyfriend who got that dish!

My husband got the seafood udon and likewise got just a few tiny pieces of popcorn shrimp. I’ve had helpful service there in the past when I made a mistake and ordered takeout by accident instead of delivery. I appreciated their help in changing the order. But the food is just not good. We used to really enjoy it but we’re going to start looking elsewhere.

Really bad service. Waited more than 5 mins before being seated even though there are very few customers in the restaurant. The waitress also displayed a poor attitude towards customers. We ordered soy and garlic flavored fried chicken wings. It is really salty and hard to eat; moreover, the chickens were overcooked, resulting in a tough texture tasting like chicken breast. I would not recommend dining at this place.

Bonchon really is hit or miss, with many misses. Not sure who cooks the chicken but they sure overcook the heck out of the strips. Comes out hard and dry! Some parts of the strip are so overcooked it's inedible..
