According to my son the food was really good and so was the service. My apologies for not knowing the waiter's name but my son really appreciated his patience. My son has some food allergies and the waiter was so kind to address all of my son's concerns regarding his allergies. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!
EVERYBODY LISTEN UP!!! Bonchon is great, but you know what is even better? THE SERVICE! We had a very polite and cheerful young man named Jamie who served us, and he was MAGNIFICENT! From the moment we walked in, he instantly greeted us and made our day so much better. He was so kind and he would always check back with us every couple minutes to make sure we were ok. He would crack the occasional joke from time to time, and he didn’t make this Bonchon feel like a restaurant; he made it feel like a home. Bonchon, if you’re listening, PLEASE GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE 🙏🙏🙏. Way to go Jamie 🥹
This is the best location. Food is always right.
Been to alot of bonchons in the dmv this is not bonchon
I was highly disappointed in this establishment I was charged twice on my credit card. My issue was never resolved. I never received my refund. Service was terrible. I will never return
The size of the strips are now about the same size as Burger King Chicken Fries. I've been ordering strips from this location for years because everything is seasoned so well and last night will probably be the last time. Strip count and the size has changed a lot. In the past strips have always been well sized. However, more recently the strips have been extremely small.
The food is amazing. Always good service when you go in there.
I got a comically small amount of food in my carry out order. Like someone ate half of each container. I had to take another trip out to get more lunch for my family. I won't be back.
My husband and I frequent this place whenever we are craving chicken because it is the best most consistent crispy chicken with yummy sauces. Today is the first time I've had a negative experience. We were in the restaurant for about 45 minutes but our table was only visited twice: once to have our order taken and once more when the food was brought out. We actually had to go to the counter to get our bill and there was no one around when we did so we had to wait for someone to come help us pay. While we were eating there was an employee standing in the bar area but they never came to check on us and there were no other customers in the restaurant at all. This was about 3:15-4pm. We ran out of ranch and couldn't get anyone's attention to bring us more and no one ever brought us a bucket to put our bones into either. We also got the kimchi for the first time and it tasted watered down so I wouldn't order that again. Even when I placed the order there was some confusion because I ordered white rice and she didn't hear me so I repeated myself and they brought us white rice AND fried rice. Mind you, I never saw the woman who took our order again, we just sent the fried rice back immediately with the person who brought it to us. Very unusual experience for this restaurant and it makes me wary to go back if things have taken a turn for the worse here. Usually we leave feeling great and are well taken care of. Very disappointing.

Their chickens are not as good as 5 years ago. The sauce is totally different tasted. If nothing change, the best location for Bonchon chicken is at Columbia, near by the mall.

Restaurantji Recommends
Giving all 5s with the understanding this isn't a 5-star establishment. For what it is (casual dining), I love this place. It's yummy, reasonably priced, clean, the staff is very knowledgeable and personable (offering recommendations and explanations when needed), and they're close to some lovely bakeries and other fun stores within walking distance. This location is lightyears better than their Pasadena location.
My suggestions are pretty bland as I'm not a pickled or fermented item fan, but their soy garlic sauce is literally to die for. My friends loved their Bao Buns, Tteokbokki, and pickled radish. They even had a Korean street corn, which was also bomb!
Come to Ellicott City for the book stores, stay for the BonChon and bakeries. ?
Vegetarian options: Easy to locate options my vegetarian kiddo would eat.

Bonchon is that hidden place you need to patron if you like wings. Their wings are crisp, tasty, and oh so full of flavor. Their Bulgogi is equally tasty. Take out orders are ready as promised. Dine in is also nice, but then everyone sees how much you have ordered.
Their wings are Korean wings, not the typical hot wings one may have during the Super Bowl. No no no, these are savory wings. They have other varieties, but their standard garlic wings are savory and full of flavor. You cannot just have one.

This place is a rip off. They charge so much and then cant accommodate any request. Food is ok but not worth the hassle and expense.
