“Excellent food, fresh and beautifully presented; outstanding attentive service.”
“Wonderful experience. We loved our waiter, Gabe. My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary. He told us congratulations and offered us each a complimentary glass of champagne right off the bat. We soon had warm bread brought to our table and then we ordered cocktails and two appetizers. All delicious. Baked brie was phenomenal. My husband had the filet mignon & I ordered a ribeye. Both were cooked to perfection. After we were nearly stuffed, Gabe offered us a complimentary dessert to share. Overall an amazing experience. Cozy atmosphere. Excellent service and the food came out quickly. Highly recommend this place. We will be back!”
“We were in the area for the HP festival. It was very busy but they did Ana amazing job. Food was delicious, drinks were amazing!”

“Sooo good! Mariah was a great waitress & the churro waffles were delicious!”
“This is my second visit in two weeks, and this time I brought my foodie fried with very discerning palate, and once again Yen and her husband did not disappoint. They have the best Sichuan spicy oil sauce in the region... period. I could eat this all day. BTW. My friend also was simply blown away with the depth and complexity of this 'street food' faire.”
“I went for the first time over the weekend. The place was so clean and the employees were very friendly! I loved the options that I got to pick from that day! The store is great and I will be going back as soon as possible!”
“❤️ love this place. Great boba and atmosphere!”
“This place is so good!!! I only came for bubble tea but saw the collection of desserts (how dare they have so many delicious treats). I ended up getting the matcha marscapone and opera cake but everything looked great. Service was fantastic -they offered to remake my drink in case I found it too sweet - it was perfect of course! Will
definitely be back. I have many drinks and cakes left to try!”

“**5 Stars - A Taste of Summertime All Year Round!**
Playa Bowls on Route 40 in Ellicott City is an absolute gem. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an inviting atmosphere and incredibly friendly workers who always have a smile on their faces. The service is top-notch, with every request for a Playa Bowl being fulfilled with remarkable attention to detail.
Each bowl not only tastes fresh but is also crafted to look as appealing as possible, always using fresh ingredients. The variety of flavor combinations is impressive, and no matter what you choose, you’re in for a delicious treat. The store itself is spotless, bright, and filled with fun music, making it a perfect place to enjoy a taste of summertime all year round!
If you haven't tried Playa Bowls yet, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s a delightful experience from start to finish, an easy 5-star rating!”
“Delicious! The food and the drinks were great. My friend got the avocado toast and I got the crepes. We will definitely be back!”
“I really enjoy Mission BBQ every time I visit! It is fast, comfortable with big booths, friendly service, and fantastic BBQ. Different sauces of varying spice levels are on each table.
Every time I've visited, at least one manager has approached my table to ask if I needed anything. Considering this is a 'quick casual' eatery, I find that very impressive! The self-serve drink selections are very good and the food is high quality and absolutely delectable!”
“Best Reubens ever! The bartender handled everyone alone she was awesome”
“This is a hidden gem bakery in Ellicott City off of Route 40. It's a little eat-in or take out place that serves delicious breakfast pastries that you can enjoy any time of the day! Highly recommend!”
“Watched a UFC fight night here. Our server, Sammy, was super helpful and even put the fight on the projector near our table. Food and drinks were great! Highly recommend the spicy rice cakes with cheese, frozen mango soju liter, and the bulgogi.”
“Food was very good. Food came out in a reasonable time. Atmosphere was nice and clean, a little loud during the weekend dinner rush. Service could have been a little more attentive. Price is normal for the area.”
“Love this place's noodles. Great flavorful spicy heat. My only complaint is you can't really customize orders, cuz the menu is totally preset. I'd like to add egg and tomato to the veggie noodles for a bit of protein. Small gripe! Every time my fiancee goes here I ask her to bring back their N1 spicy chili noodles :”

“We had a great lunch at Phoenix in Old Ellicott. Service was fantastic. “The Bear”, inspired by the show, was probably the best sandwich I’ve had in a restaurant in well over a decade. I never thought I’d get to try one of these outside of Chicago, so it was a real treat. The giardiniera and au jus really set it off. My wife got the crab quiche and raved about that too.”
“Crab cake no good. Tastes like fish and has lots of fillers! The service was good and other food was good too. Salad, fries and asparagus. I will never get another crab cake here though.”
“I've ordered a different item from the menu each time and have never been disappointed! Mi Casa is quickly becoming one of our regular spots!”
“Our team couldn’t be more happy with the food. We ordered From Nora’s catering menu for our team of 40 not only did everyone get to eat there was plenty enough for seconds for everyone!! If your looking to great catering this is the place not only where they responsive but also quick with their delivery!! Thank you again!!”
“I ordered the Combination Singapore Mei Fun. The food was delicious! Perfectly seasoned. I would have preferred it without the pork but next time! The owner was friendly and accommodating. This was the best Chinese food I have had in the Columbia, Md area.”
“This place is small and no one else dined in when we were there, but the phone rang off the hook and the doorbell often sounding. The most significant detail I want to mention is the portion size. WOW! I’ve never gotten so much food for my money at a Chinese restaurant. The food is literally served in glass pie plates, to give you an idea of size. It was tasty, too! Many vegetarian options. Veggies were crisp and not overcooked too, which is another great plus!”
“The black chili was delicious as was the brussel sprout salad. Service was great, always has been, for us.”
“originally went to Asian bistro to find dinning room was closed and was very happy because this place was fresh and wonderful. a new great fin6”
“It's worth the hype! Definitely not a bubble tea you want frequently if your watching your figure. But a treat once in a blue moon is good!”

“I love the service of the people that work here. The lettuce is often times old, though, on the burgers. And sometimes tastes like pickles. Kids love the play place, but the dining area could use more cleaning.”

“This place has AMAZING food. You can tell the chef is really talented. The staff are wonderful, and eating here is really an experience.”
“Sarah made a half sheet cake for my son’s graduation party and it was ABSOLUTELY delicious! We ordered a lemon cake with raspberry filling and a buttercream icing and everyone at the party LOVED it! I gave her free reign on the decorations and she did a great job, especially free handing the college mascot. Sarah was very easy to reach, worked with my tight schedule and the price was very reasonable. I HIGHLY recommend Plant Baked by Sarah! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Love this place! Ive been coming since 2015, and it never misses! They have the best soft serve menu with so many options and flavors! Staff is friendly and always willing to give samples so that you can choose the best flavor for you! 10/10 recommend! Please tip the staff! They’re college students!”
“A great business should definitely come and try these amazing deliciousness with great service. Remember, lemon chicken is just amazing. And then comes the Nashville chicken. Do not forget everything is Halal in this place.”
“The BEST sandwich spot around!! ? Family Owned/operated, Kind Prices, Friendly Service, GREAT Food n Dessert! Been going here for 30-some years ever since before I can remember ❤ WE LOVE YOU, DUCHESS!
Vegetarian options: They'll make an extra cheese sammy (no meat) with extra let/tomato if you ask nicely ? SO GOOD!”
“Watched a UFC fight night here. Our server, Sammy, was super helpful and even put the fight on the projector near our table. Food and drinks were great! Highly recommend the spicy rice cakes with cheese, frozen mango soju liter, and the bulgogi.”
“This unassuming place serves delectable, 100% authentic Korean “pub grub.” The friendly owners took the time to explain the menu. They also made sure we had plenty to drink and eat throughout our stay. Our orders came out of the kitchen quickly…and the food was DELICIOUS! ?
The plain fried chicken was a bit bland (we ordered it for the young kids…so it was perfect for them). However, anything that is seasoned I’d recommend. The owner brought a free “sampler platter” of condiments to our table midway through our meal. This sampler included kimchi. I lived in Korea for 6 months; Seoul Pub boasts the best kimchi I’ve ever tried. The kimchi is both mild and complex in flavor.
The prices here are also amazingly reasonable. We ate well and drank well, yet our total pre-tip (for a party of 8 adults) was under $200.
I’d highly recommend Seoul Pub for a night of great Asian food and drinks (the Soju is delicious).”
“Gg's came to us highly recommended by local Ellicottians, and it did not disappoint. Their Greek-inspired dishes were delicious (lamb omelet!), with an excellent drink menu. We tried a cappuccino and iced dirty chai. The desserts on display are mouth-watering, we'll have to come back just to try them all! We enjoyed the chocolate banana bread. The decor was cohesive and welcoming, with a gorgeous fiber rendition of Klimt's "The Kiss" when you walk in. The cafe was kid friendly. The staff were kind and courteous. Gg's is already my favorite cafe in Ellicott City.”
“Food was very good. Food came out in a reasonable time. Atmosphere was nice and clean, a little loud during the weekend dinner rush. Service could have been a little more attentive. Price is normal for the area.”
“Fantastic food and great prices! The restaurant is clean, and the staff are friendly! My only wish is the veggie burger could have been homemade patty instead of the "Beyond Meat" patty they use. Solid 4.5 star!”
“Cafe June is a hidden yet popular gem in Ellicott City. The cafe has a wooden and natural vibe, somewhere teleworkers may feel comfortable setting up their laptop.
Parking in the small lot out front and finding a table will be difficult during busy hours but there's more parking nearby. We found a shared table near a woman with her laptop and it was perfectly comfortable, you won't feel squished. There are signs politely requesting that guests limit their stay to a very generous 90 minutes so other customers may have seating.
We spent $35 for a large sweet cream cold brew, large dark chocolate frappe, pesto sunrise sandwich and the tomato basil soup with three slim baguettes. The drinks were very, very tasty and quickly made. The cold brew was especially good and the frappe was decadent, similar to a smoothie. The sandwich and tomato soup, although tasty, were smaller portions for the price, however it's Ellicott City and the higher price is expected considering the area. I wish I saw a grilled cheese on the menu, perhaps I missed it but that plus some salad options would be nice additions. The small portions and price are why I gave 4 stars overall. If the portions were slightly larger or the costs were a little less this would be 5 stars easily.
The staff we interacted with were all very kind and quick. The establishment is clean, comfortable and many food/drink options for all diets. We sincerely look forward to returning to Cafe June!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarians can be creative here and request meat removed from sandwiches. Vegans may have a tough time but there are options that can be made vegan.”
“Our favorite place for Sushi. Had carry out tonight due to CoronaVirus quarantine and it was fantastic as usual. Can't wait until this comment is completely outdated (and things are back to normal again).”
“Based on it's other location in Timonium, which I have visited twice now, I'll give this new location a preemptive 5 star. Very much looking forward to this location opening right by my house!!”
“our server Michael at Gaithersburg MD has made our day and got say he turned our entire day around less not forget the food was amazing as well”
“Went here after a wedding and had a blast. The barmaid was very helpful in suggesting good drinks and beers to try. Never had to wait long for a drink even though she was working the bar herself, and it was pretty busy. I will definitely go back next time I am in town”
“I stopped by for a quick lunch on sunday. Was in and out in less than 40 minutes. Asia was my server, very friendly and made sure I was taken care of quickly. The new Champagne Shrimp option was extra good that day.”

“We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to eat here. Darlene made us her special spicy sauce which was delicious with onion rings and fries. My son got a oreo milkshake that was topped with an ice cream sandwich and cookies. Great diner and we will definitely come back!”
“I Paint $21 for a fried chicken and green banana chips, and 15 for Baleadas (flour tortillas, wood beams) these two iconic plates from Honduras ? ?? now to be fair the food it's OK but a little bit of a price comparing to other places, but I understand inflation I guessThe chicken was a little expensive compared to local restaurants and other stores that sell it more or less for 15 or $16. There are places where I have found it for 18 and this one, at 21, is the highest I have found. The order of baleadas in some places is only two baleadas for $12 here it is three baleadas for $15 but they are small the tortillas were more or less and I honestly didn't like the taste of the beans, of all the food what I liked the most were the The banana slices were good and the sauces had a good flavor. The fried chicken was OK. I like to know that there is more local Honduran food and I leave this post so that they improve a little and we continue to have good Honduran food.”
“I like the Cajun chicken sandwich. Before that, it was the Black and Bleu. Too bad these are temporary menu items. Several standard menu options are good also. Consistently good quality and fast service. Slightly higher than average cost is worth it, when you're seeking a little more enjoyment / class than usual in a relatively quick fuel fix.”
“Ordered inside. The food is FRESH and good. Cooked after ordered. No pile of half warm food. Those who take the food order are helpful and very pleasant. The surroundings are clean and spacious enough to accommodate several people.”
“It was my first visit. I'll definitely be back. I had some type of spinach detox smoothie and the jerk chicken wrap... Excellent!”
“5/5 Stars
I just had to share my wonderful experience at this McDonald's location I visited today! The staff (especially Camarel) were absolutely fantastic - friendly, and attentive. From the warm welcome to the cheerful goodbye, the service was top-notch. Keep up the fantastic work!”
“Food was awesome. The employee didn’t look to happy but, Ive worked as a server before and I know how it can be sometimes but, regardless you still give a little smile. First time I’ve ate there and it was delicious. Thank you Sonic!!”

“Delicious food, cozy atmosphere and great people!”
“I really liked the combination of well-boiled pig's feet without any smell and fresh makguksu (noodles)! Stir-fried pork is a rice dish with a fiery aroma.
The dogani soup was made with a lot of dogani and the broth was thick, so it was delicious! The servers were also friendly, so I'm 100% planning to visit again next time! Haha, thank you for the delicious food!!”

“This place in my view is an undiscovered culinary treasure. I ordered the vegan platter - and the dishes were flavorful, satisfying and fresh, not weighed down with heavy, processed ingredients. The atmosphere was relaxed and not rushed. The highlights were items I would never have imagined I'd like but did. Like the appetizer sardine salad (amazing!), which was not fishy at all but light, with a lemon and mild spice, and infused with onions, tomatoes, small-diced peppers. The highlights were the vegan dishes (some spiced with berbere spice) and then the coffee, a whole experience of its own. The chef came out and showed us the coffee roasting, then returned with a big plate of coffee and an incense burner, part of a traditional coffee ceremony. The meal ranks as one of my favorites in the area, I love this place.”
“Got to meet the owner today as we were greeted pleasantly upon entering. After conversing we were happy to support the establishment. Small business owners must stick together and I'm honored to have met their acquaintance.”
“Terrific new local small business in OEC making great Vodka and Gin!! This is run by a great friend of mine and will be a terrific addition to OEC.”
“The food was delicious! Highly recommend hot crispy beef and the honey sesame eggplant!”
“I went for the very first time the other day and it was so amazing! Loved the skewers (got beef and cut squid) and they were so yummy and juicy! I went with my boyfriend and we also ordered ramen! He got the tonkatsu black garlic ramen and I got the beef shoyu ramen! The portions were so good for the price and the taste was amazing! It’s such a quaint restaurant, we loved it! Ordering and paying was so easy and convenient. You can order by yourself by scanning a QR code on the table or tell it to your server! You can only pay online if you ordered via the QR code but it was so easy! You do have to register and create an account but that process itself took less than a minute! Parking wasn’t bad and when we went (Tuesday around 2pm) it wasn’t that busy with no wait to be seated! We can’t wait to go back to try their other ramens and skewers! Total price paid for 2 skewers and 2 ramen: $36-$37. Not too bad compared to other ramen places that charge much more!”
“We arrived around 7pm on a Friday, and found a space right in front. There’s plenty more parking in the large well-lit lot 120-feet up Oella Av. The restaurant was pretty busy, and the bar was nearly full, but we were able to walk to one of a good number of available 2-seat and 4-seat tables. A number of people wound down dinner through 8pm, so more tables and front-door-parking kept opening up.
It’s a casual retro interior with dark wood and exposed brick, true to the building’s 1833 origin. It’s darkly lit and welcoming in a homey way. Nice people, many from nearby towns. The lunch-dinner menu is casual, from sandwiches to a variety of mains. It’s average-priced, not expensive, and the servings are very generous. We had a hot Chicken Riggie linguini with artichokes, and a cold over-stuffed shrimp-salad sandwich on a hoagie roll with fries. They were both fresh and flavorful. The fries, since you asked, were piping hot, lightly crisp, and perfectly soft inside. We were served without a long wait, and the floor staff was constantly attentive.
Throughout dinner, it was mostly middle-age and older. The bar side nearest the door seemed like mostly regulars. But surprise, they have restarted their Friday 9pm karaoke, and by then a younger crowd really filled the place along with the regulars. This was “Christmas in July”, with some fun decorating and several themed songs, some by decades-long regulars! You have to see nattily-dressed Mike, well-known over for his spins and kicks! And you havent lived until you’ve heard Tim’s bawdy version of The Night Before Christmas :-). Singers ranged from could-be-pros to I-just-love-to-sing. The best part was that the great crowd joined in boisterously with the singing, and applauded every performance. It’s probably the most fun karaoke I’ve been to! We faded out around 11pm, and it was still going strong.
It’s a great casual restaurant, and a really fun Friday evening out!
Parking: About a dozen spaces at the front door. Many more in a free lot 120-ft up Oella Ave
Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp on the left as you face the door, maybe one on the right, too. Entrance door is flat. I dont know about door width.”
“Wonderful independent ice cream shop with original flavors and focus on creative fruit combinations.”
“I think I just found my new favorite chicken place! Tender pieces made for eating on the go, just like at a street market. Pleasantly salty, and perfectly spicy. Their fries are very tasty as well. The price is very reasonable and a great value. Honestly, one order of chicken is enough for two people to split, but you'll be fighting for that last morsel! I highly recommend Jumbo Jumbo!”
“Local mom & pop restaurant with authentic home cooked taste. Not a fan of their naengmyun, but everything else otherwise has been solid. Service dining in can be a bit slow on their busier days but takeout has been pretty solid.
Parking: Limited free parking in the strip mall.
Kid-friendliness: Nice to kids but not specifically catered to kids.”
“Snow Ice and Gimbap. Next time I’m trying the Rice Cake Ramen.”
“I ordered the Tuesday calzone special. Plessntly surprised that it was not the small sive as at their Baltimoe Ledo lication.
Vegetarian options: Try the vegetarian calzone on Tuesday. You can thank me later.”
“Shakes so good they're almost rebellious—creamy, rich, and an absolute joy. But fair warning, the sweetness might just steal the show, giving your sweet tooth the thrill it craves. The shakes are a little pricey so be aware. There is a short wait. There is a little arcade when you first walk in.
Vegetarian options: The ice cream served here is vegetarian.
Parking: Free parking lots available in Ellicott City, not by this location specifically. They may fill up on nice days
Kid-friendliness: Kids love milkshakes and ice cream. Kids can easily share a shake.”
“This place is like a hole in the wall. Small but extremely good food here. I got the Spicy Pork with egg over rice. That pork was so delicious. The amount of flavor that was in it was extremely good.”
“The black chili was delicious as was the brussel sprout salad. Service was great, always has been, for us.”
“So many food options and combination options if you have a large party. Food is delicious, servers are quick. Place is clean and large, you aren't sitting so close to others.”
“The food was amazing, except my dish had tooooo much lemon in the sauce!!! The service would have been great if it wasn't for the manager on duty last night. The waiter made an error with what he heard of the appetizer I ordered. The manager came back questioning me instead of apologizing for the mistake. Mistakes happen, but managers should know better! You don't go to the customer questioning them! I didn't even make a big deal about it. I really felt bad for the waiter. It was a misunderstanding. It happens. The ravioli with prosciutto was absolutely worth it!!!”
“Not sure why this place isn't more highly rated, but I accidentally discovered this place when looking for a Korean restaurant that has a great banchan lineup. Went in for BBQ - will try their regular menu next time - and was not disappointed. The banchan were really great, and refills came quickly. Service was excellent, the server made sure each meat dish was cooked to perfection and did not push me to finish the meat quickly so she can cook the next one - most other Korean BBQ places will put them on a dish and let them get cold before I can finish it, which sucks. The only thing I would say about this very clean restaurant is that it's a little small so if there are a lot of people you may need to wait. Highly recommend anyone in the area to try this place out.”
“This is a pork belly restaurant with a pot lid that tastes just like Korean kimchi stew. Pork belly, kimchi, bean sprouts, and onions are grilled and eaten on the pot lid... how delicious. (Boss home shopping Lee Hye-jeong’s son-in-law).
It is a hip restaurant with a nice atmosphere.”

“This is my new favorite place to eat in Ellicott City! First of all the food is incredible. The garlic sauce we ordered as an appetizer alone would have satisfied me but the food just keep getting better. So fresh and so flavorful!! The owner introduced himself and made us feel so welcome. Their story is incredible! The ambiance was absolutely lovely. They had live musicians who were extremely talented and added a tone that was fun and enjoyable but not at all overwhelming or too loud. The service was impeccable. I cannot recommend enough! We will definitely be going back very soon!”
