“I went to Mad Chef on Saturday, 02/17/2024. It was early afternoon, and they were serving from the lunch menu. I ordered the Tuna Taquitos as an appetizer and the Fish & Chips for my entree. Those two dishes complimented each other nicely. The tuna was fresh and not over-cooked, nor was it dried out. The taco shell was fresh and crispy - still warm! The veggies & slaw were also very fresh and very tasty. The appropriate amount for an appetizer. The fish & chips were also fresh and perfectly done - not over-cooked. The breading on the fish was perfectly seasoned; too often dishes like this come out seasoned in the "more is better" style. Not these. This was just right - I could taste the subtle nuance of the herbs and spices, but they harmonized with the fish and did not overpower it. Same with the fries - salted & spiced just right, and not too much. I also tried the yucca frites, as I had never had yucca before. They were delicious! A good alternative to regular fries. I NEVER order dessert at restaurants, but I did on this day - everything thus far had been delicious, so I took a chance and ordered the bread pudding. It too was delicious! Delicate and not too sweet, with a wonderful texture and subtle flavor. I had an espresso with the bread pudding and it was the perfect dessert. The wait staff (Emily) was amazing as well! She knew the menu and could describe in detail all the dishes we asked about, and asked defining questions of us when we asked for specific recommendations from her. She was attentive during the meal, re-filling water glasses, asking if we needed anything, but Emily didnt haunt us, either. The service was perfect! I wholeheartedly recommend The Mad Chef, and can strongly recommend the dishes I described above. I look forward to my next trip to The Mad Chef! Parking spots are plentiful.“
“Manor Hill is an absolute gem located in Old Ellicott City! The service is always amazing and the servers create a very welcoming environment. It's definitely a little louder of an environment so that's something to keep in mind. I could go on and on about the pizzas, they're definitely something everyone needs to try. It's meant for one person but I always have leftovers so you could definitely share it with someone. The street fries are an absolute must try if you come here. Definitely a fun place to come with friends or for a fun night out!“
“The food is always great, amazing how consistent they can be, and they mix it up with their specials. The wait staff is excellent and all the people that work there are top notch! The bar is very fun, lots of regulars, people are super friendly and always willing to move (left/right) to open seats for others when they are waiting (it’s a regular happening-tradition). The bar tenders are the absolute best...Mark, Sandy, and the entire team there... you will not be disappointed.“
“The Judge's Bench is a nice little dive bar that also has a "cocktail club" on the third floor. If you're looking for a little more upscale experience, or perhaps a more intimate experience, this is a nice place to try. It's a bit expensive and the service was a bit slow, but the ambiance was really great. Mood lighting all around, and at the right time some live music playing. Great for a date night or just a little treat with friends or family.“
“Absolutely adorable cafe with excellent customer service! Food and coffee was excellent. This is a hidden gem! We had the Easter special French Toast stuffed with carrot cake and it was heavenly! The crispy chicken picante and fries were perfect!“
“Went here on date night with my wife. Recently. I had the shepherd's pie and it was really good. And my wife had the burger and it was also pretty good. The waitress was super fast that taking our orders and making sure we didn't wait around and very friendly and she was the best and I wish I knew her name so I could give her credit here.“
“Went back to the Trolley Stop for the first time in over ten years and had a good time and meal. Wife and I split a Caesar salad and French Onion Soup as course #1, the Caesar salad with blackened chicken was delicious, like really really great, the way they dressed it was just perfect and the chicken was not "too blackened" just right. The French onion soup was very good, tasty and cheesy but not too cheesy, just right. For our entrees, my wife and I split a mushroom, bacon, swiss burger and the French Dip. The French dip was probably the lowest point of the night, you had to pay extra to get it with cheese and fried onions (that put the sandwich up close to $20) and it just wasn't that great, not bad, but nothing special, just a big pile of roast beef that needed a dip in the au jus to taste good. The Swiss Bacon burger was delicious, cooked perfectly to medium (so many places overcook when you ask for medium, this had a perfect pink center), very tasty bacon, just very good. Our trip was probably 4.5 stars, we will come back!“
“If you like diner food, this is the place to go. Unlike some diners I've been to, every member of the staff I saw or interacted with was smiling and friendly. The portion sizes were generous, the service was quick, and the whole place was pretty clean, especially for diner standards! It was a little pricey, but not overly. I will certainly come back.“
“Awesome interior, amazing and consistent service, and that’s not to mention the food. Best damn burger I’ve ever had in my life. Menu also lets you know what’s gluten free and vegan which is a nice quality of life feature. Highly recommend.“
“Excellent salads. “Baby Salads” were large and tasty before our entrées. I had the shrimp carbonara which was very nice with large shrimp. 2 others had the scallops special with risotto and loved it. Large portions which we all enjoyed as leftovers the next night. Heath Bar bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a decadent ending. Service was good, but we were seated by the kitchen which was the only minor disappointment of the evening.“
“Haven’t been to UNOs in a few years; basically since COVID. Was craving a deep dish pizza. We ordered a Chicken quesadilla appetizer, an Numero UNO pizza, a 20 ounce Samuel Adams, and a Peach Mule for dinner. The food was excellent and was very pleased with the pizza. Service was great, the young man made sure we were well tended too.The atmosphere was a bit drab and outdated and there was a table full of men drinking nearby basically screaming and yelling the entire time. Very annoying. We will be back.“
“Best smoked turkey breast around! Been serving it for years. Vanilla rum cake is out of this world!!!Dietary restrictions: My son is super allergic to almost everything. But, he can eat Honey Baked Ham smoked turkey breast. So for 21 years, if he brings a dish to a potluck, he brings a smoked turkey breast from honey baked ham.“
“I am very pleased with my time had at All American. I came with an extremely large group of soccer players and their families and was definitely worried about all of them getting sorted. We had a great section of seats and the food was great after a long cold day. The staff was amazing, especially the two waitresses who were the main faces who constantly made sure all of the families were good. I am very appreciative of how well everything went! Thank you!“
“Can’t say enough good things about our experience tonight. Hostess was friendly and seated us promptly. I wish I would have gotten our waiters name because he did a spectacular job. He was informative but patient with our group. We ordered a lot of food but some of the highlights were the calamari, crab dip and fried green tomatoes with lump crab on top to start. We all ordered steaks, crab cakes and added lobster tails…the food was delicious. Finally I can’t say enough about the staff and management they were all excellent. If you do try this restaurant I recommend making a reservation and don’t forget dessert!“
