I had the shrimp carbonara which was very nice with large shrimp. 2 others had the scallops special with risotto and loved it. Large portions which we all enjoyed as leftovers the next night. Heath Bar bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a decadent ending. Service was good, but we were seated by the kitchen which was the only minor disappointment of the evening.“
“We have come to the Easter brunch for the past several years. But this year was a bit disappointing. First of all, they served a macaroni and cheese. It was completely tasteless, hardly any cheese. It was like eating plain elbow, macaroni.Secondly, they cut back on their after lunch dessert items. We were a party of four - we shared an appetizer, four entrees, and split two deserts with coffee - we were there for 2.5 hrs - most of it spent waiting. That is just way too long. The worst sin was one of us specifically asked for creamer with coffee (lowers the acidity), was not brought w/ coffee, we were told "be right back w/ creamer." Never to be seen again. That just can't happen. But that was some good duck (and sauce and hash on side)!“

Both of our food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Would highly recommend both. The waiter was very nice and answered any questions we had. “This is a nice suburban restaurant near The Mall in Columbia, Maryland. The service is attentive, and the restaurant itself is comfortable. This food doesn't push the culinary envelope, but it is flavorful and nicely served.We had the French Tease cocktail, a riff on the French 75, which they altered at my request to be less sweet.I had two small plates as my dinner. The crab cake sundae was a bowl of Maryland tomato- based crab soup, which had a ladle of cream of crab soup in the middle, and in that was a crab cake and a crab claw. It was an interesting dish, and all was perfectly fine. The waitress did not think that was enough for dinner, so I had the fried oysters with bacon and onion dressing with a surprisingly spicy black hot sauce. The oysters were small and a bit greasy, but tasty. We shared the grilled asparagus with burrata and hazelnut gremolata. It was pretty good, but the asparagus ends were woody.My companion had the scallops served with roasted mushrooms and an onion risotto, topped with a bacon soubise sauce and crispy leeks. It was tasty, but it is a very heavy preparation for scallops. I think they were a bit lost in all the rest of the food on the plate.We ended with a very nice and creamy key lime pie.So in summary, the serving sizes are quite large. The food is fine. The service is attentive. There was nothing that would particularly make me want to return, but if someone else wanted to eat there, it would also be okay.“

But I was so pleased that I literally had to personally give the Chef/ Kitchen Manager praise for an outstanding job done. My experience there was 10/10. “KCR is the most beautiful classic place for a meal in Howard County. The food in the past has lived up to the ambiance but in the most recent visit there were some let downs. The meal started with an excellent Brie and an excellent Riesling. The main courses were Crab Cakes and Veal Margarita. The Crab Cakes were very good but not quite as good as past visit although I still would go back for them. The big disappointment was the veal. It was a really ugly piece of veal that reminded me of processed meats. A bland marinara sauce over soggy spaghetti made the dish almost uneatable. The best part was perfectly prepared vegetables so it wasn't a total loss. A fruit tart was excellent as well. I still love the place so hopefully this was just a once off.“

My martini (I went with a classic dirty vodka martini, but they have a full menu of martinis and other cocktails) was good, and I really loved all of outlets for charging. The service was really good, and it was a great place to have a cocktail (or did I have two?) and do a little work or reading while waiting for a flight.“

“First visit and certainly won't be the last. Had brunch and enjoyed everything consumed. Started with the Fried Oyster Deviled Eggs, which were really good. Main entrees were the French Toast and Smoked Salmon Toast. The French Toast is way too much for 1 person so it was split between 3 people and there was still a slice remaining. It was quite tasty but there was an orange flavored taste that took away from it just a little. I really enjoyed the Smoked Salmon Toast, no complaints at all and the same goes for the pitcher of Planters Punch. Our waiter, Silva was awesome, put grenadine in our glasses to enhance the punch and it was perfect. My friends ordered the Shrimp Frittata and both enjoyed it. Can't wait to come back and I forgot to mention they had live music which was nice.“

“Just want there to grab a quick lunch. Never tried the castfish before so ordered it and it was quite good. It comes with 2 fillets of catfish which are quite big in my opinion, 2 slices of toasted bread, fries and drink of your choice.The prices are also resonable.Had to go there the following day for another lunch. You only need to wait for 5 to 10 depending on what your order is. One thing, the shop is inside the gas station, so there aren't any table. You can wait for your order either 'inside the store or in your car. If you like fish, you should try this shop. Recommended it.“
“The food I had was great. I've only tasted the curry chicken three times. You have to pay extra for plantains, which are okay as far a plantains go (I only had them one time). And their food is so affordable that the $1 extra isn't a big deal. I spent 10 and some change on a large curry. I don't care for the people who just hang out there and invade my personal space.Parking: I've gone there twice, and didn't have any issues with street parking.“
