Met my new interest at this place with no expectations really other than the amazing pictures of the food that I saw online.
First, you have to order at the counter first. They don't wait on you, but their system asks for a tip anyway. Strike one. Second, my friend went to the bathroom and said it was the most disgusting bathroom she's ever seen and no paper towels. Strike two. Third, the menus are old and falling apart. The one I grabbed was half of a menu. Strike three. The restaurant wasn't exactly the cleanest place and there were these looking fake tattered plastic pumpkins on the tables...in February. Strike four. Got the crispy chicken sandwich because it looked so good in the pictures online. So thin, there was barely any chicken in the batter and it was so over cooked it was like leather. Also it had no seasoning. Very bland. Strike five.
She ordered hot water and I ordered cold water. Both came in a small clear plastic Dixie cup and both were luke warm. Strike six. There's a sign that says you have to bus your own tables when you leave. Strike seven. Absolutely awful!!!!
The staff was friendly and the sweet potato fries were pretty decent but appeared to be from a frozen bag. 1/2 strike.
I really wish I didn't ad that tip in the beginning when I paid.

The food wasn't the best. I had the wings and fries combo and it was mediocre to say the least. The price doesn't help. The service was good but a little slow but the atmosphere makes up for it. If you want a place to sit highly recommended going but if you need to fill your stomach look elsewhere.

You would assume an egg & cheese sandwich comes with the cheese included, but not here. Check your receipts, they charged me extra to “add cheese to eggs”. Also, the coffee flight pastries were microwaved, not freshly baked.

Had the Chipotle Turkey Club sandwich. Surprisingly delicious. Toasty buttery brioche bread and fresh deli meat. Highly recommend.
My friend had the Big Slap Burger served on brioche. She said it was outstanding. Must try if you’re into burgers. It was massive.
They also have a bakery section with all sorts of danish, muffins, cakes and pies. I bought quite a few things on the way out the door.
Service was attentive.

Shiraz and his Team at Cozy Café are welcoming, hospitable, and ready to serve patrons. The cozy nook definitely made us feel relaxed to enjoy our delicious Cozy Bowls, drinks, and complement lemon cake - and our conversation.
The atmosphere gives a charming "downtown Spadina, Toronto cafe" feel🇨🇦.
This is a great place to dine in alone(note that the team there will make you feel like family, and check in on you) or with a group, or grab some delicious 'eats' on the go.
They also offer catering and delivery of their delicious pastries, sandwiches and more - all of which we have used for our company special functions - and have been pleased and satisfied(*our teams enjoyed your creations).
All in all, Cozy Café is our favorite spot, my mom and daughter, or hubby and me dates.
Thank you Shiraz!
Vegetarian options: I appreciate the lacto- ovo vegetarian options - and how the chef assisted with other foods I tried and enjoyed.
Kid-friendliness: Extremely!

My experience was ok. Looking back at my bill today, they charged me separately for a straw and another charge for using my credit card. First of all that is already accounted for in the overpriced eggs so I feel extra robbed. I must have missed the signage giving me options to opt out.

A cute little restaurant in Ellicott city. I had a latte which was good. Milk options are whole, oat, and soy. I had a sticky bun, which was OK and I had the avocado toast with egg. I would’ve preferred more egg and less toast. I did not like that You have to use plastic silverware and they had cheap little napkins. Service was fine. Make sure you get a number as they will bring you your food when it’s ready, if you are eating in the restaurant, I might try one of the egg scrambles next time. I like the artwork on the walls too.
I parked on the street at a 2 hour parking spot. We stayed for two hours chitchatting and were never asked to leave.
I also like that, you can buy a coffee or a meal for someone and put it on their bulletin board for someone in need

I wanted to try this cafe since I saw it pop up in my Instagram feed so I gave it shot with my friend today. The ambience was not good at all, not inviting/welcoming, it didn't feel comfortable/cozy there at all. Not the vibe that's being portrait in all the pictures posted. We were served our coffee in to-go cups instead of mugs as always advertised on social media. The cake we got was ok. Only plastic wear was available. I won't be coming back.

New owner, this used to b a nice Greek restaurant,
Cozy = dead place 😮
Their dishes lacks creativity, just dropping items on plate won’t do ,
Their bathroom sink not working , no paper towel either ,

Amazing homemade gourmet food in a family-owned bistro. I met the chef at an event he catered, and was impressed by his food and his friendly attitude. I came and had a quiet, delicious lunch on a quiet day and really enjoyed it.
My next visit was during the Wizarding Weekend, which found Old Town Ellicott City overrun with Harry Potter®️ fans. Cozy’s was jammed, with a line out the door, but they gamely soldiered on and got food out as quickly as they could. Everything I’ve had there has been excellent from omelettes, to hamburgers, to salads, to their homemade macaroons.
I also have a gluten allergy, and have had no trouble eating at Cozy’s.
They seem located a little out of the way, right at the bottom of Old Town, just before the bridge, but they are next to the best parking area.
I plan to return often. Highly recommended!
