A wonderful intimate atmosphere with very good food. Customer service was excellent! Ordered the following:
Octopus salad: Pass, didn’t like taste or texture, I’m not the target audience
Pan fried dumplings: 6.5/10 decent, wish it had more peanut sauce
Takoyaki: 9.5/10 amazing. Very flavorful and wish there was more.
Chicken Katsu Curry: 8/10 good but wish the curry was slightly heavier with flavor. Chicken fried beautifully.
Shoyu ramen: 9/10 amazing broth and completes the dish
Kissin pink(soju sangria): surprisingly very good
Tonjaku: 10/10 Try at home, shot overpriced, strong semi Smokey flavor
Very quant atmosphere. The tented table is very nice Bathroom Cleanliness: 9 very clean, smelt good, I wish they had paper towels

Nice interior, really good curry. Overall recommended. Services are a bit slow though, visited twice and both time to just get a cup of water to start with, I'll have to wait for around 5~10 minutes.

Nice atmosphere, cozy like a cafe. The music was iffy, it was playing the entirety of an Ariana Grande album. The food is okay, not worth the price. I ordered the dumplings and got only four. The dipping sauce was spicy and I barely got any as it was drizzled onto the plate lightly rather than an actual dipping sauce.
I ordered the tonkatsu curry. The sauce itself was delicious, however, the pork was overcooked and the amount of rice given is too small. The presentation of the whole meal was cute, I just can't justify paying almost $20 for a plate of curry when I can make it easily at home.

I used to live in Japan for a few years and I’m currently living in Chicago but this is without a doubt the best Japanese style curry I’ve had in America.

Came here with family, we had the edemame, shrimp dumplings, konbasa sausage, hamburger steak platter, chicken katsu, pork katsu, and chicken katsu curry. Everything was amazing! We finished with the matcha cake!
Really appreciate, the chicken dumplings were what we ordered and the kitchen made us shrimp. One of us has an allergy and couldn’t eat it, so they comped our appetizers and were super kind and attentive!
Really love the decor as well, the place feels so light and fresh.
FYI the curry does have coconut!

Beautiful restaurant and amazing food! My husband lived in Japan for years and had been searching for good Japanese curry. We do not have to look any further. We will be back! Great service as well!

I'm just gonna rate what we had
karage grade 5 -is japanese fried chicken bites. nicely battered nice taste, not greasy or salty. I didn't eat with the sauce but my friend liked the sauce. it didn't need sauce imo. came out hot.
pan sized dumplings vegetable grade 3- nothing special cook well. taste ok. I had better, but I liked the presentation
seaweed salad grade 5: I love seaweed salad. the one at the restaurant was fresh, and the ponzu dressing added a nice touch. very refreshing. I could have eaten a bigger bowl.
chicken teriyaki plate with rice soup and salad. grade 4. I'm not a big teriyaki person, but the grilled meat was tender, not too much teriyaki on it, which I appreciated. what I really appreciated was that the soup wasn't salty. I rarely eat soup of any kind because I find them to be very salty. this one if it had salt was very little. I drained the soup.
grilled seafood curry grade 4. my friend had this. he said it had the right amount of spice hot and the seafood was fresh he demolished his dish. he also said if you like Indian curry, then you gonna like this dish.
apple yuzu soda grade 4. I needed a bigger bottle. I loved it
The service was top notched, the decor very nice. it is a small place. I highly recommend you check it out. I plan to go back because there are a couple of other dishes I want to try.
Parking: it's in a shopping plaza there is plenty of free parking.

Awesome food with a large selection, including alcohol (cocktails, soju, etc). Our server was very accommodating as we came in quite late but was cheerful nonetheless. Great space inside too, the booths are great for groups.
