We have been happily frequenting Leelynn's for over ten (10) years. My family has enjoyed gathering around their tables and enjoying the food and company and have made recommendations over the years to our friends. Tonight was a total disappointment. Our waitress appeared to be very inexperienced -- it took an inordinate amount of time to receive drinks (my husband waited over ten minutes to receive a beer) no check ins to give an update. Food delivery was equally disappointing (slow and cold.) Appetizers dropped off at the table, no plates no napkins -- no follow up to see if everything was ok -- which it wasn't. No wait staff visible (back porch area) to request assistance. When the waitress finally appeared, no apology -- simply just "well, it's busy". With that reply we definitely felt that our patronage was important. -- We get it that restaurants can be busy on a Friday (My family owned restaurants.) So it isn't simply the responsibility of the waitress --most establishments the manager would be supporting the wait staff. In terms of the food -- it was mediocre at best -- Leelynn's will not remain on our favorites list.

French onion soup was so good I got an extra bowl to go. Crave cakes are jumbo and filling. Molly was so kind and prompt with service. Patio is lovely and music isn’t too loud.

Excellent salads. “Baby Salads” were large and tasty before our entrées. I had the shrimp carbonara which was very nice with large shrimp. 2 others had the scallops special with risotto and loved it. Large portions which we all enjoyed as leftovers the next night. Heath Bar bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was a decadent ending. Service was good, but we were seated by the kitchen which was the only minor disappointment of the evening.

I did love the swordfish entree special. And service was great. But the indoor wooden chairs were hard and very uncomfortable. Not pleasant for a relaxing group luncheon.

Burger came out almost rare. The the waiter took it back saying they'd make a new one and came back out with the same exact burger. Appearing to be cooked more and at this point how excruciatingly hungry I was I started to eat it and everything past the first bite still looked rare. Seems like they just seared the literal outer most portion/the part that was exposed when cut in half. Very disappointed and hoping I won't get food poisoning. Will never eat there again.

My Leelynn's burger was cooked to order - medium/pink inside - and was big and delicious. Our waitress was excellent, keeping track of the orders of our party of 7, and anticipated our needs right down to leftover boxes. The bathrooms were clean, warm, well supplied, and did not smell at all. The only downside was the dining room was quite loud during lunch that day.
