Food and service is great. But noticed an unusual activity of drone surveillance outside of the cafe. You might be getting surreptitiously video graphed by a drone in the premises not necessarily by the law enforcement. I would be bit hesitant to go next time for the privacy reason.

Love this old town Ellicott city Café. It’s filled with characters and chill vibes.Even though it’s located on the edge of the old town. It does not make parking any easier. They do have their own little parking lot. However, given the amount of customers they have on daily base. This little parking lot is filled up fairly quick. Most of the time we have to look for parking on the side streetsThey have an extensive menu for sandwiches and coffee drinks. Also fresh pastries in the bakery displays. Tasty coffee, chai, & more.Friendly and efficient services.The favorite seats for most will be the ones close to the window. Just perfect… ☕️?Highly recommended by @winedinenvacay

Best dirty chai latte of my life. Also gluten free coffee cake (massive slices!) this place is my way better replacement for boring old Starbucks. So many baked good and delicious coffee, highly recommend.

This is the first time we come to Old Mill Cafe, after reading these good reviews we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately we werent that lucky. The girl in the cashier (taking the orders) was kinda rude, making faces, I really dont know if she was in a bad mood that day... The Sandwich I ordered was delicious, however it was over toasted. We also got a plain bagel with cream cheese and also the bread was over toested, almost burned. Maybe the toaster is messed up or they just forgot about having the food in the toaster... who knows. There are only a couple of tables inside, I guess this is due to covid. Coffee was "OK".Edit. I was recently here, the experience was way far different from our first impressions about this place. All employees were nice and smiling. There are more tables, enough I would say, they have also outdoor tables which is great unless is too cold or a rainy day. I had a veggie crepe, the ingredients are taste was delicious this has never been the complain, flavors here are great and unique, the problem is the time they leave the other stuff warming/cooking. The dough of my crepe was completely tosted, it was falling apart in small pieces after trying to cut it with the knife... anyways it was at the end good. Coffee was nice, good taste. The atmosphere of this place is great when there are only a couple or when people respects others by talking in a descent volume, but as always people seems like they are in the bar/night club or deaf, they yield or scream to each other, then the place turns to a really loudly place and unpleasant if you only want to be there for a calm cozy moment enjoying your food or drink :(.Vegetarian options: Veggie crepe

My wife and I go here several times a week. The people are friendly and the food is good. We also really enjoying the quaint atmosphere. It's located in old Ellicott City and just a short walk from some nice shops and bars.

Muffins the size of softballs and still reasonably priced ! Always fresh ingredients. Their quiche chef has the custard to baked to perfection. (at the date of this post.) Great local cafe.Parking: Don’t have to mess with super small lot. Park down at the river parking lot and short walk.

I photographed an engagement session in Ellicott City and the Old Mill Cafe was one of our stops. It was a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food, pastries, and coffee were delicious! Be sure to check out their outdoor patio and the scenic trails behind the café.
The Cafe reminds me of Cheers, where everyone knows your name. Not only am I greeted by name, they have my usual ordered memorized. Also the best coffee and pastries in the area. I bring all my visitors there and they agree that the food can’t be beat. I have brought thier quiche and gluten free pastries with me when I visit family during the holidays the last couple of years.
