My good friend, WAQAS MAHMOOD, recommended me this fine korean establishment. WOW! I ONLY get the Spicy Korean Bone in wings on Maximum spice! If you like
spicy I recommend it for sure! It is not too spicy but has a great korean flavor! Remember only the spiciest option!

The food was incredibly delicious and also a great spot for a late-night meal. My friends and I worked hard on this restaurant, and I’m definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. It was an amazing and authentic experience for me.

This place used to be so good… Today was served an allegedly “medium” portion of bossam (pictured below was the plate untouched.. it was worth $25…). On top of the overpriced portion, it was served with clearly black fungi on the lettuce. When the waiter couldn’t explain what it was and brought out the chef, he kept insisting the “natural spots” were fine (the spots literally would rub off..) On top of all that, for some reason they assumed we were Chinese (we did not speak any mandarin or anything in front of them, the assumption was very strange… (And we are korean).)… they even used google translate to explain that the spots were fine.
The food quality and service used to be so good, or at least decent, and prices didn’t use to be this insane even when they were always slightly on the more expensive side. But really disappointing how downhill this place has gone now

They have good food and stuff. The servers were really responsive. The only thing that I didn't like was the loud music but some people like that ambiance. They lowered the music a fair bit after we asked. So that was really nice of them.

Nice little casual Korean restaurant in ellicott city. This is more like a Korean/Chinese influenced home cooking Korean spot. Good was good and service was OK. It’s not overly crowded during the time I went but I can tell that they can get a crowd for drinking. Tons of Korean food choices in ellicott city. This is reasonable to try if it’s your first time but nothing stands out from this local restaurant.

Rainpia is a fantastic spot for Korean comfort food! The corn cheese is an absolute treat—gooey, creamy, and perfectly caramelized, it’s the ultimate indulgence. Their tteokbokki is just as amazing, with chewy rice cakes swimming in a spicy-sweet sauce that hits all the right notes. On top of the delicious food, the service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and fast, making the whole dining experience even better. If you’re looking for great food and even better service, Rainpia is a must-visit!

Our group of friends visited Rainpia last Saturday night. The service and food quality was pretty typical of a late night Korean gathering spot. However, what prompted me to right this review has to do with their tab. They charged us close to 13% tax??? The legal tax rate for food is 6% and alcohol tax rate is 9% in the state of MD. How is this possible? On top of that, the percentage of automatically calculated gratuity was inclusive of tax, which is very misleading and unfavorable to customers. Please check your tabs here before settling. I did ask one of the servers regarding the unreasonably high tax amount and their response was quite vague.

The highlight of my visit was their Korean fried chicken, which was absolutely phenomenal. The crispy, golden exterior gave way to tender, juicy meat, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. I highly recommend the Yangnyeom chicken—coated in a sweet and spicy sauce that packs a flavorful punch.

The staff at Rainpia were friendly and efficient, ensuring every table was well taken care of. Pair your chicken with a refreshing glass of different flavor of Soju (Korean liquor) or an ice-cold beer for the ultimate Korean dining experience.
