Love getting take out from here and did dine for the first time. I recommend the dan dan noodles, kung pao chicken and dumplings. Everything we have tried is delicious!

Ever since we found out about this place, we've been here almost every week. It's a good thing we don't live closer because we would have been here everyday. We've tried different dishes each time and have yet to encounter a dud. Everything we've tried was amazing! I'm usually not the biggest fan of Sichuan food because I feel the spice just overwhelms all other flavors. But not at Tea Horse! The red peppers add fragrance and aroma but not much heat (if you avoid eating the red peppers directly).I highly recommend the Chicken with Sichuan Pepper, Kung Pao chicken, and the stir fried cabbage (how in the world do they make cabbage taste so good?!). Honestly you can't go wrong with anything. The only things I wouldn't order again are the soup dumplings and pan fried dumplings...not that they aren't good, but I've had better. When there are so many outstanding authentic dishes to try, why settle for anything less than spectacular? I can't wait to go back!

This place is amazing balls!!!I haven't had Chinese food like this in years! In fact, this is better than what I had when I went to Shanghai. They mostly do Sichuan food but have some Americanized stuff too. No comment on the Americanized stuff since I haven't tried it, but I would be shocked if it wasn't really good too. As for the service, everyone is super friendly and the place is nice and spacious. It's a relatively new restaurant and I hope this review entices more people to go because I want them to succeed and stay around forever =)

I'm not too sure what happened, but today was a big miss. Eggplant was overcooked and looked nothing like the photos... dried and chewy, maybe even old... dried bits of green onion in there as well and the flavor was just awful. Mapo Tofu was good but lacked seasoning. Hot and sour soup had way too much white pepper powder (the only thing that could be tasted was the heat of white pepper), and the boiled fish was oily, but overall, the tastiest dish. For the price I paid and the quality I got in return, this might be one of those occasions where good restaurants miss the mark and fail sometimes too, whether it's the chefs or something else. Do not recommend it.

Best Sichuan I've had and I've tried a lot of place. Portion sizes are very generous. Most authentic Sichuan places still use low quality rice. The rice here is sticky and very good!

This is one of the places we attend frequently. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are great. The food is quite authentic and can be spicy, but in a good way. There is a window to the kitchen and the kitchen always looks spotless. I cannot recommend this place enough 12/10

The food was really good. Great levels of spice and well made. Can't wait to return and try some new things. I will say that the customer service was half and half. Everyone who spoke with us was courteous, but if you happen to come during staff meals, be prepared to be ignored or have to get up and get someone's attention. They all sat and ate together, which was cool but meant you pretty much are ignored. They dropped off our food and didn't come back to ask if we needed drink refills or anything not even once.

This is a great place. Dear friends took us here as a farewell dinner. The food is awesome and the prices fit the Ellicott City area. The portions are great and the selection is very good. I even got to try true Chinese beer - tastes like a German lager - very good. The waitress was pleasant and quick. It was early when we arrived so it was not very crowded. It filled up around 6 and got a little louder but it was still fine - hearing and talking was never an issue. If you want to eat really good Chinese food in a very nice atmosphere you should give them a try. You will not be disappointed.

I was only in there for a little while, but the decorations really made me wish I had stayed. Was beautiful in there.I placed my order ahead of time for pick up, and the service was nice and easy. The food though was really good. I had gotten Kung Pao chicken, veggie fried rice and scallion pancakes. All of which, more than satisfied me.I highly recommend this place!

Tea Horse Sichuan Bistro is a just opened Chinese restaurant in the old town district of Ellicott City, Maryland. Specializing in Sichuan cuisine, this restaurant offers a modern twist on traditional Chinese cuisine. The vibrant decor and beautiful dishware make for an enjoyable dining experience. Additionally, there is ample space with private rooms for large gatherings and parties. This is our first visit; we tried several unique dishes such as the "Chengdu sister rabbit" and "Tossed clear noodles in chili sauce". These were delightful appetizers to start our meal. We also ventured out of our comfort zone and ordered the "Stir-fried pork kidney" and "Sliced pork head with hot pepper" dishes. Surprisingly, they were both delicious. I enjoyed the tender and crisp pork kidney, while my friend Dr. ZY preferred the pork head.Although the restaurant offers a limited selection of beers and only one dessert (pumpkin pie), the overall dining experience was very pleasant. What's more, the cost of our meal was very reasonable, only $30 per person, including tip. Compared to other similar restaurants, this is a great bargain. I would definitely recommend Tea Horse Sichuan Bistro to anyone looking for a new and unique dining experience."Sichuan Zhiwei" Sichuan Restaurant is a newly opened Chinese restaurant located in the newly built plaza in the old town of Ellicott City, Maryland. Its specialty is Sichuan cuisine, one of China's major cuisines, known for its spiciness and deliciousness. Different from traditional Chinese restaurants, this is a new generation Chinese restaurant with modern decoration, vibrant atmosphere and beautiful tableware for all dishes. The restaurant is spacious with several private rooms suitable for large gatherings and parties. We ordered some unique appetizers, such as "Chengdu Second Sister Rabbit Ding" and "North Sichuan Liang Noodles", which were both very good. In addition to the usual Chinese vegetable dishes, we also ordered a few unusual dishes, such as "Fiery Kidneys" and "Chili Stir-fried Pork Head Slices", which were surprisingly delicious. I like tender and crispy pork kidney; but my friend YZ prefers chewy pork head slices. The restaurant has a limited beer selection and only one dessert, "pumpkin pie", but it was sold out when we ordered. Still, the entire dining experience was impressive. Additionally, the cost of our meal was very reasonable at only $30 per person (including tip). Compared to other similar restaurants, this is a very cost-effective option. I highly recommend "Sichuan Zhiwei" Sichuan Restaurant to anyone who loves Sichuan food.
