Tersiguel's is consistently high-quality food and excellent service. If you want something you can't or don't normally cook, expertly prepared and served, this is the place. There were almost 20 different vegetables served with the various meat and fish courses. Different preparations. All delicious. Five food courses, but we did not fell stuffed. Dessert was excellent. Go with the wine parings as the courses vary, and the wine is always a good match. Looking forward to our next visit.
Superb and clever food. Lots of attention to detail. Wait staff extremely adept at their job
The wonderful pivot to a Prix Fixe Tasting Menu is a great success, pared down to four nights only, two seatings per night, and a limited number of guests, resulting in a delicious dinner experience. The 6 course menu consisted of soup, salad, fish, lamb, beef and dessert, all French dishes from the Brittany area, all superbly prepared, sauced and seasoned. The menu changes weekly. We chose a bottle of wine rather than the pairings and settled in for a lovely meal. Delicious!
It was my first visit since before the pandemic. I enjoyed the four-course menu, and would go more if the meals were that size instead of the six-course, As always, the Maitre 'D Charlie Risselada was perfect in his explanation of each course.
A wonderful experience- Tersiguels provides a real dining experience- with truly exceptional food and a highly personable staff. I'd go back anytime I get the chance.
Dining at Tersiguel's is always special and our recent visit was no exception. The menu was a special one for the restaurant's 50th Anniversary and was delicious.
The food was good. Consisted of 7 courses including dessert. There were a couple that we didn't care for, but most of the entrees were delicious.
I was expecting it to be a bit more formal than it was. It didn't affect the overall vibe, however.
Everything was served in a timely manner, and the cocktails were great. The servers were nice
We will definitely be back. As the other reviewer mentioned, come hungry as the positions are decent-sized and you will be full at the end of the meal.
The perfect place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Quiet and classy, with attentive service. The menu selections are imaginative. If it's your first visit, ask for the larger "Garden Room."
It is important to understand that this is a family owned reservation only limited seating establishment. The result is a very intimate and quality dining experience. The service is intimate but also professional. It is clear that there is a standard here from the dress code and manners of the staff. It is also casual a casual and friendly atmosphere at the same time. The staff and the owners work well together and all are front and center. They are very attentive. One of the staff overheard my wife and I trying to remember the name of a red berry that was served. Without even being asked, the staff member went and asked chef. She then approached and provided us with the name of said berry. The six course meal is well spaced between courses, and fresh silverware and plates are properly placed with each course. I decided to test our server by swapping placement of my fork and knife when she was not looking. Upon serving the next course she noticed that the knife and fork were not in the proper place and attempted to correct them stopping short to ask if I’d switched them to which I replied that indeed I did. This prompted a nice chuckle and sigh of relief as I think she thought she’d misplaced them initially. That is just one example of how they work to make sure everything is as nicely done as possible. As far as the food is concerned, do not expect tiny Michelin star sized portions here. Meals are very similar to what you would see in France. Not Paris touristy France, but rural France where they prepare real French cuisine. Chef prepares well spaced dishes on the smaller end of American sized portions. Come starving and you will still leave feeling satisfied and quality full. I emphasize quality, you will feel full but good full. Well worth the cost of the meal. Expect a light starter course followed by a seafood dish, beef dish, lamb dish, maybe chicken or pork as well as vegetables. All of our dishes were cooked perfectly. Nothing was under or over cooked. Veggies were crisp, meat was tender and juicy. All dishes were nicely garnished and full of flavor. Cocktails were also well prepared with mid to high end vodkas, rums, bourbons etc and properly mixed just right and were well sized. Expect a cozy intimate and somewhat quiet atmosphere. The building is old world cool. The place has character from the squeaky wooden floor boards to the high ceilings. Unfortunately there aren’t many places like this left these days due to the high costs faced paced world that we now live in. This is a very special place to come to, sit back, relax, unplug, and just take it in and appreciate what is there, the people, the food, and the experience is a welcome feel good treat especially during these intense times. Hats off to the family, Chef, and staff here for working hard to continue to deliver quality service, food, and atmosphere to the community at a time when we need it most. Well done!👍
Still a shining star in the Baltimore area. Both the “regular” menu and its sister vegetarian offerings were imaginative and delicious. However, Tersiguels is more about the total experience. Service and ambiance is exquisite. Bravo, Michel and Charlie.

The most unforgettable experience. My husband and I moved to Ellicott City 6 months ago and wanted to stay local and find a nice restaurant to celebrate my birthday. We saw online that Tersiguel's was a tasting menu and we didn’t know much else and were excited for the element of surprise. And what an incredible surprise it was! The minute we walked in and were welcomed by Charlie and Lisa I knew we were in for a treat. We had no clue what each course was going to be until the plate hit our table and every since thing we ate was so creative and delicious. We had the best salmon of our lives and each course just kept getting bigger and better. While the food and wine was amazing, the service made this whole experience top-tier. Charlie and Lisa were so personable, kind, and warm. I can’t wait to go back to see them again! If you’re thinking about going to Tersiguel's, don’t walk, run!
A wonderful experience. Love how Charlie takes the time to describe in thoughtful detail everything. A feast for the eyes, ears and taste buds. First time my husband has joined me and he's excited about our next visit. Love!
My wife and I have been to some very nice high end restaurants over the years, but without exaggeration, this is the best dinner we have ever had in our 19 years together. The service was also phenomenal; a special shout out to Charlie who explained every course to us in detail and made us feel right at home. We ordered the wine pairing with each course and were blown away. Every single dish that came out was excellent and had a completely different flavor profile to it. This was our first time here, but it will definitely not be our last. The price is absolutely worth the experience and your taste buds will thank you! Thank you all for such a great dinner!!
We enjoyed the 6-course chef's menu on May 23, 2025. We were informed that it changes on a weekly basis. The food was consistently good, and our waiter expertly explained the preparation of each dish. I wouldn't say that any dish blew us away, so sticking with 4 stars. Atmosphere was nice - small dining room in a beautiful, historic home.
No where close to what it once was. Very sad. Were huge fans will never go back.
