Carleo Italian Pizza

This is a nice pizza / sub shop. There is not a lot of seats. The staff is friendly. The food was good and fairly priced. I got the large cheese steak sub. It was only $1 more than the small. I wish it had a little more meat but the food fit the price. They also give discounts to vets and first responders.

It's a very small, legit, pizza shop. Excellent pizza. They run a proper pizza oven; no conveyer belt nonsense. not a lot of room. 4 booths at most. A couple of outside seats. Clearly a popular takeout spot. The inside is not dirty, but it is definitely cluttered. we stopped here with several members of a soccer team after an event and completely filled the place up. Food was excellent. Customer service was excellent.

If I lived close by I would frequent this establishment.

Older Grandma seems too run the show, her I'm assuming sons / grandchildren help cook the food. Amazing quick home cooked meals, made with love highly suggest going out of your way to support a business like this.

We had two sandwiches. They were great. Great meal after a long day of traveling. People who work there are great. Don't miss this one.

Stopped in for lunch on a weekday. Has only a few tables inside, mostly does carryout. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pizza was amazing - some of the best pizza I have ever had. I wished we lived closer so we could stop in for the pizza more often. Definitely plan to stop in again when we are in the area.

Came here for lunch never been over here before secret gem guys ! April is amazing and very sweet definitely coming back when I get the chance .

Real deal, authentic, no frills, classic Pennsylvania style deli 👏🏼 Kind and attentive service, huge portions at an incredible price point, and absolutely killer subs - especially the chicken philly cheesesteak. Very nostalgic. The perfect lunch & dinner stop after hitting the slopes!

Super friendly & helpful staff. Great (!) food - excellent pizza & buns; all fried dishes we ordered (fish&chips, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks) were freshly made and tasted great.

Not sure If the pizza recipe changed but past 2 times I have gotten pizza it's awful it's so bland and has no flavoring. Please switch back how you use to make the pizzas!

We stopped in Emmitsburg for gas and chow, on our way back to NY, and decided to forgo McDonalds for once and get a pie from Carleo’s when we spotted the store front. So glad we did…possibly the best pizza we ever had! We hit the road and ate the whole 16” pie in 10 minutes and were seriously debating on turning around for another.
