“I’m from Springfield, Ohio and when I visit in Maryland that is always my go to place for great food and atmosphere! Lots of love Bobby and Susie! Mike Humerick’s daughter. Jodi (Humerick) Tatman.”
“I thought I had mistaken called the wrong number and ordered but it turned out the Annapolis number routes to Emmitsburg location. Watch for this has it had me confused for a ”
“My partner and I came here after a session at Liberty Mountain Resort, about 10 mins away. Had a great time, there was a house pianist playing while we dined. Our server was gracious and the food pretty good. I ordered the Ahi Tuna for an appetizer, 10 straps with wasabi aioli, ginger and soy sauce. For my entree, I tried The Emmitsburg, named after the town its in. Roast beef cooked medium well with mashed potatoes and asparagus on top of garlic toast. For dessert, we tried the blackberry sorbet ice cream. Not too sweet, so she enjoyed. She also enjoyed the Moscato punch with her entree.”
“The most accommodating and family friendly service! We stopped while travelling, thinking it would be a quick bite at a hole-in-the-wall pizza place. Well, we got incredible friendly service, delicious food, and a warm environment. It has indoor seating, a great accommodation for someone travelling, but it also appears like a thriving carry-out restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kid menu and high chair.”
“Awesome food.Great prices and service. Get there early. Don't forget to stop by the Firehouse across the street and grab some gear and a 6 of Hearts entry or a surprise cooler entry.Get some.”
“Wonderful that it is on campus. But it's a noisy place even when not crowded. The soft pretzels are great. The Guinness pour is terrible. It's more bitter than canned Guinness Draught.”
“Nice place. Crab legs best we've had in a long time. Nice size. Hard shell crab good as well. Shrimp a little over cooked but not bad. Service was great. Very clean . We will return here.”
“Very sweet and informative young lady that waited on me.Smoothie was delicious! Glad I finally stopped in to see for myself how awesome this place is. Deserves more than 5 stars!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“The food is delicious and season just right; I would rather eat there at Mount University than at the regular restaurants in the area of Frederick and Gettysburg. The price and portion is just right for my family and I on every visit.”
“I had my husband order a pizza and bring it home tonight and that pizza was delicious. They did a very good job. When you get good food from a place like we got tonight you will always go back again and we will. Great flavor and I very much enjoyed every bite. Thanks to those who made it.”
“Quick visit using the mobile app to pick up breakfast for my son using points. Very friendly and efficient. I can't comment on the atmosphere inside the store as I went through the drive-thru.”
“No coupon like advertised went with daughter everytime we have difficulties app does one thing they do different go there alot NOT everytime problemParking: 16 maybeWheelchair accessibility: Near door accessibility”
“My husband and I got the burnt end sandwiches with fries, mac and cheese, and the fried pickle appetizer. We really enjoyed our food and our waitress was helpful and the food was quick! We would definitely come here again.”
“UPDATE: The manager Travis refunded me for the order and provided an update via email. I am very pleased with the quick resolution to this issue! My order was wrong and there wasn't any meat on the Italian sub. I requested a refund and was given the run-around. There should be a refund policy for the times when they make an error.”
“I’m from Orlando, so when visiting here, I just HAD to try the butterbeer and it was amazing! Great service and such a friendly environment. 11/10 recommended for anyone passing through Gettysburg!”
“First time in Gettysburg so asked the concierge in my hotel if he could recommend a restaurant with my caveat being if you only have one night in town - and you’re a foodie with a chef husband - where is THE do not miss place. And he didn’t even have to think about it. Hands down Sign of the Buck is where I should go. But he said reservations are a must so I jumped onto Resy and booked a spot for 7pm. I am SO glad I took his advice because not only was this place incredible for Gettysburg but it is one of the most memorable meals I have had in Pennsylvania…period. Charming decor, very elegant and cozy. Hostess was warm and welcoming. My server was an adorable young lady and took great care of me throughout the evening. When it comes to cocktails - the options are extensive. They ALL look so tempting. But they smoked House Old Fashioned was the winner and it was incredible. Not too smokey which suits my taste so I was a happy camper. Starters were a tough choice too - had a tough time deciding but I finally chose the roasted Brussels Sprouts which sounded incredible from the description and they were phenomenal. So often they are either undercooked and hard or over cooked and mushy. They hit it out of the park. Crispy. Tender. Perfectly cooked and flavored with a cheese - I forget the name - and balsamic reduction they were just awesome. For my entree that was a no brainer. Venison of course! I mean this place is called Sign of the Buck so I figured the venison had to be their specialty. And that was for sure the right decision because it was the most beautiful presentation and the meat was cooked to perfection - medium rare as I requested. The accompaniments didn’t look like much at first glance. Pretty but when I tried them the squash and potatoes were superb and paired beautifully with the meat. As I devoured my meal I noticed more and more people arriving - clearly the word is out that this place is where it’s at in Gettysburg. Though I was stuffed and could have skipped dessert - my waitress brought me the menu and I just figured what the hell - I’ve come this far. Let’s go all the way. Baba with Calvados and maple cream!? Yes please. I am bummed I live 4+ hours away from here or I wouldn’t hesitate to make this place my staple for date night. Can’t wait until I return to this beautiful town again and will be sure to book a reservation before I come. Pretty sure these will be tougher to come by once word gets around about this jewel of Gettysburg! Cheers to Chef and team for a memorable evening.”
“Gluten and soy-free diner here. Thank you once again to your employees who let me know that your homemade ice cream may contain soybeans. Therefore, my Siberian Husky, Juneau Elizabeth, and I each had a cup of your vanilla soft serve, and it was delicious! See for yourself.... We will head back later today for round #2!!Dietary restrictions: Soy-free, soft serve ice cream.”
“We had dinner at the Dobbin House and everything was phenomenal. Our waitress was excellent and so was the food. We look forward to going back the next time we are in town.”
“We love this place. We eat here every time we get to Gettysburg and have never been disappointed. From the appetizers, to the main course and dessert - it is always fantastic. Highly recommend!”
“Being from Philly, you're born eating cheesesteaks. You know good ones, not so good ones and when you say you know the best.... you haven't had any from Hunt's.This is by far the best tasting... ever.”
“Good food at a reasonable price! Always busy , but they don't push you out the door when you're done. That makes it easier to visit with friends!Parking: A bit of a tight squeeze to get through the alley to the parking of you have a large suv.”
“Amazzzzing ice cream (we had Halloween candy flavor!) and even better was sitting outside while Steve (owner) shared a ton of history with us. Don’t bother waiting in line for the place down the street, go here!!”
“Cute place on the back end of the battlefield. Mozzarella sticks were really good and cooked perfectly! The chili dog was just ok. Not enough chili and cheese sauce overpowered the bun. The pizza was good, but the sauce was tangy, overly chunky, and acidic. For the price was a good value and would go back!”
“One of the best restaurants I know, this restaurant has great home cooked meals. The price is right and the serving size is generous,if you walk away hungry it's your fault. If you are in the area be sure to stop.My home town.”
“Went with my mom. We were seated right away by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was amazing. As it was our first time there, she explained everything with patience and a friendly smile. The food was too good. I overstuffed myself because I didn't want to stop eating. But we still wanted dessert. We were told that the flavors of the cheesecake depend on what mood the chef is in. There would also be a dessert available that wasn't on the menu, again, changing depending on the chef's mood.Atmosphere, food, staff, all made for a wonderful time that I would love to repeat.Without a doubt, this is one of Gettysburg's best spots.”
“Ordered from Uber eats and what a treat!! Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were huge.Their queso dip is thick and came with lots of chips. I had the Al pastor burrito which was filling and beyond tasty. Ditto my husband’s steak chimichanga and my daughter’s chicken chimichanga. Just perfect really. Great job Blessings!!”
“Fun place with good service, huge portions, and a nice atmosphere. We had several different dishes, with both house tomato sauce and a cream sauce. We like the cream sauce better, but it's just down to preference. Meats were delicious and it was overall a great meal.”
“Yum, just... yum. We are visiting Gburg and local family came by our bnb & brought cheesecake & cookies. We started sampling the cheesecake before dinner, and then had to go buy more quick before they closed. And we still have no leftovers. Local Gburgers, run- don't walk- to SwS! I'm only happy I don't live here b/c I'd weigh 100k pounds. Enjoy your gem of a dessert shop!”
“First time being here. Ordered meatball spaghetti which comes with homemade tomato sauce. Since it’s a dinner size they offered a side of salad and garlic bread. Everything is just right. Plus the service! The gentleman is super nice and friendly ❤️ will definitely return when we come snowboard here!”
