“We celebrated my Bday here and I was treated to a well thought out and executed dining experience. Bravo!!”

“Springhouse Tavern: The casual, atmospheric below-ground Springhouse Tavern at the Dobbin House is our favorite restaurant in Gettysburg. Whenever we visit Gettysburg, this is the one restaurant where we must dine. Its food quality, hospitality and authentic historic environment are consistently wonderful no matter how much time has passed. This time we were here with friends. We enjoyed cocktails on their outside patio while waiting for our table. The service and hospitality on the patio as well as in the Springhouse Tavern was efficient, delightful and helpful. The food was delicious, as always. The crab cake was especially delicious. This place is timeless Gettysburg. ACCESSIBILITY: This is a 248-year-old building on the National Register of Historic Places; needless to say, there isn’t a ramp or elevator to the below-ground Springhouse Tavern. However, other than a couple steps at the top and bottom, the stairs have railings on both sides, the step height is moderate, and the walls are close enough to put a hand on if needed. Even though I have mobility limitations, I was able to access the underground tavern. Once downstairs, there was adequate space for me to get around with my walker.”

“What a wonderful find this restaurant was. We were hungry & tired after a long day driving & our server, Bryan, made us feel right at home. The food was fabulous & a step above regular BBQ. Delicious margaritas & to die for crispy glazed brussel sprouts & hush puppies with chipolte sauce were all professionally served by Bryan. Add on great beef brisket and you have a restaurant worthy of 5 stars. We will stop again next time we are in the area.”

“4 of us came in from Chicago on a Sunday night. 2 of us had the special which was a grilled swordfish with rice and asparagus. It was absolutely delicious!! 1 of us had the crab stuffed salmon and he said it was the best he ever had! My wife had the snow crab legs and they were also very good! We had carrot cake and a chocolate cake for desert and both were awesome! Our server was Jim and we couldn’t have asked for a better server and as a bonus he was very knowledgeable of Gettysburg. If you have a chance run don’t walk to this restaurant!! Thanks again Jim you were awesome!!”

“Celebrated my 60th birthday with my family and it was absolutely perfect. The best buffet around and perfect for our big crowd of many ages. The arcade was a great attraction for the little ones who were were antsy. Loved the big lobby perfect for getting those special family pics. Highly recommend. Staff was very kind also.”

“It was busy in Gettysburg today for lunch. Walking around town we found this adorable and friendly Creperie! Lovely crepes and we Watched as they were made. The homemade peanut butter and chocolate shake was to die for! Skip the wait at other restaurants and enjoy the atmosphere here and food here.”

“come here about 20 times each year but today they forgot my wife and 4 year old daughter ice cream. once we said something we got eye roll with aditude then once we got ice cream we didn't get cone like we asked for 2nd time.. I pay for ice cream and good time not for poor service and aditude.”

“Amazing place with wonderful kind staff. Ashley was a ray of sunshine on this cloudy Friday. She was super friendly and I instantly felt welcomed. I tried one of their new iced teas and it was wonderful. not too sweet and just overall well ballanced flavor. it was exactly what I needed to start my day. Definitely a hidden gem that I feel will really become super popular the longer they are open. I will Definitely be back and take the drive into gettysburg as it was well with the almost 30 min drive for me. If you stop in and give them a try you won't be disappointed!”

“We ordered our wedding cake from Sweeter than Sap and we LOVED it. Our cake was exactly what we had asked for. They were able to deliver it to our venue the day of our wedding and set it up. They also have delicious cupcakes in store!”

“My boyfriend and I went for breakfast/brunch two days in a row with no complaints. The staff were friendly, wait time for our food was minimal and the food was amazing and very cheap. I loved their French toast as it was homemade bread and not in an egg wash but a batter. The sausage, eggs and home fries were delicious as well. I’ll be back on my next trip to Gettysburg!”

“This was an accidental find for us as we came from out of town to an appt and wanted some tacos. I have zero regrets and I will be making the hour drive up again soon just for this place. Food was on point in every way, staff was nice and friendly, portions were large and filling and the vibes were just relaxed with music. I have gone over the menu multiple times now to see what to get next although the Quesabirria tacos were the best! 5 stars, 11/10 would recommend this place! Nice abs flaky light dough, very tasty filling, not overly sweet just a more natural sweetened taste. Phenomenal! Highly recommend you stop in! Jen and I will definitely be back when we can actually buy some stuff to take home! We were out for our Wedding Anniversary and had a dinner to go to and an. Appointment in Hershey. “If you are looking for really good greek style food this is the place to go. They have everything you can think of from pizza to pastas to subs. Always a favorite place to go for lunch or dinner.

Parking: Parking can be a little tricky as the lot is not that large. but it's manageable.”

“What is there not to love about this place? It's a Gettysburg staple...You can not come to Gettysburg and NOT try Tommy's Pizza .. if you do that should be a crime.

Parking: Parking is extremely difficult as the parking lot is shaped in a V out in front and a I in the rear , but you must be careful in both places as the front has roads on both sides, in the back there is a pick up window also.”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you for saving the day. My granddaughter loves ducks. Our original plans for a cupcake cake shaped as a duck was terribly botched by the bakery. We walked into DQ on York Rd and they produced a beautiful “duck” cake on short notice. Special thanks to John and the young male server. They both went out of their way to help save the day”

“I drove an hour to Gettysburg yesterday frantic to get to Michael Kors to look for an exact same of purse of mine that had been stolen. I had been dealing with MK customer service which was 0 help and went to Clarksburg and all they said was sorry that happened to you but we don't have that purse. When I got to the Gettysburg MK outlet I was quickly greeted by all staff. I spotted my purse and was thrilled. when my friend told them what happened they were apologetic (they did not need to be) and they let me know that they were capable of calling store to store, checking inventory or shipping from another store to my house free of charge. Thank you Gettysburg MK staff for being so attentive and taking the time to make sure I got phenomenal customer service!!”

“This inn was amazing! The rooms are huge, the decor is amazing battle of gettysburg themed. The staff is so nice! I genuinely felt like the staff enjoyed talking to us. My name Erin, means Ireland. The front desk worker saw that and put us into a room that had a huge painting depicting the ‘Pride of Erin’ or the Irish Brigade. It was beautiful, fun and lovely. The pub in the building was delicious, the wait staff enjoyed chatting and gave great service. They told us all the best places to eat and gave us tips for visiting. When I come back into town, I don’t want to go anywhere else!”

Cream cheese coffee cake was great heated as a breakfast appetizer. The owners and staff are personable and great to chat with. It’s what a cozy coffeehouse should be.”
