Sadly we won’t be returning, we frequent here quite often but tonight we rolled in at 8pm for dinner, they close at 9. The hostess looked us up and down from across the restaurant before deciding to come over and say “they were no longer seating people this evening”

​If you're looking for a solid hibachi experience that won't break the bank, Kabaruto Hibachi is definitely worth a visit, though our dining experience was a bit troublesome. We encountered a slight wait time despite having a reservation, but the food itself was delicious, well-priced, and offered great value. However, the service dynamic left a bit of a sour taste in our mouths. We were originally assigned one waitress, but a senior waitress abruptly came over and took over our party. It was pretty clear she just wanted our tips, especially since she treated the original waitress quite poorly right in front of us. While the overall experience and food were good, the uncomfortable staff interaction was a noticeable downside to the evening.

Kabuto's served a good meal overall. The food was flavorful, and I especially enjoyed the fresh vegetables. The quality of the meal met my expectations, and I left satisfied with the food itself.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the meal. Our server was friendly when taking our order, but after our food arrived, it felt like we were being rushed. Once the check was dropped off, we hardly saw our server again. We wanted to ask for extra sauce but couldn't get anyone's attention, which was frustrating and made us feel overlooked.

The biggest concern during our visit was another guest who brought a dog into the dining room. I fully respect the important role that properly trained service animals play for people with disabilities. However, this dog appeared to be untrained, pulling on the leash and lunging rather than remaining calm and under control. Watching that behavior in a restaurant where food is being served made the dining experience uncomfortable and raised concerns about the overall atmosphere.

Kabuto's has good food and fresh ingredients, but improving attentiveness after the meal is served and maintaining a comfortable dining environment would make for a much better overall experience.

Experience, service and quality of food was top tier.

False advertisement for service hours. They ran up front to tell us they close at 2:00pm when the door explicitly states 2:30pm. I hope they have the same energy for people they are servicing. This is the second location I visited with an issue. They have to do better with communication and customer service.

This is easily our 10th visit to this location and we live just over an hour away. We will most definitely continue to come here. I especially like they're open on Christmas Day. I'm not big on family events. I just want to spend time with my wife, kids, and those who value their relationship with me. If you're on the fence, stop in for great food.

I chose to take my girlfriend here after looking for Easter presents. We have eaten at the Parkville location many times but we never visited the Rosedale location. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the experience. Our waitress was delightful…right on point with every request. We ordered the hibachi salmon, fried rice, noodles and many veggies. All the food was well seasoned and high quality. The hibachi chef went out of his way to make this a fun experience. 5 stars in every category from me!!
