Went to 7th Sister for brunch. The chickpea faux chicken salad sliders were an unexpected standout and some of the best vegetarian fare I’ve had in a long time. Crispy, flavorful, and thoughtful. The Carriage house salad was bright and fresh, and the Chesapeake risotto was beautifully executed, rich and full of flavor.

The cocktail menu offered a great and creative. Will be back.

Ordered the mussels starter, and the Frederick Cheesesteak on a Hoagie roll ... Mussels preparation arrived with a small piece of french bread stop the mussel shells ... hardly shareable, but nicely prepared and tasty. Needed to ask server to provide a shell discard container as part of the service. The Cheesesteak was a dry concoction of shaved beef on a roll, with a viscous spread stop the beef ... very dry ... Caramelized onions were nowhere in sight. Followed the meal with a Cappuccino that was served cold. Disappointing evening at the restaurant.

This place is in a cute building with a courtyard, but is too high on its own supply. The food is fine, but not worth the prices; the service was incredibly slow and chaotic. We had to ask our server for things he said he’d be bringing by multiple times and it took so long for our food to come out. The bathrooms are an absolute nightmare - see through glass stalls and a see through glass partition between the men’s and women’s bathrooms. Would not return unless under new management and the bathrooms are redone.

Wow, this place is wonderful! I worked with Sarah to coordinate a special surprise birthday dinner for my mom in the private dining room and it was perfect. She made the coordination so easy and was so prompt in answering all my questions. Domingo, our waiter was so wonderful, energetic and fun and the other staff at the restaurant were very nice and helpful. The decorations we dropped off looked great in the space and we all set up when we arrived. My mom was so surprised and absolutely loved her experience.
Thank you all so much for making her birthday so special!!

I was in Frederick, Maryland this past weekend for a wedding and really enjoyed a meal at 7th Sister on North Market Street. The restaurant is situated inside an historical home built in 1890.

The highlight of the evening was the food and the service we received at the restaurant. One member of our party has severe food allergies and Sam, our waitress, was very attentive and detailed to ensure the other waitstaff and the chefs were aware of the allergens. Some of us had oysters as an appetizer and when served, Sam shared the different types of oysters and from which part of the Chesapeake Bay they came from. The meals were real pleasers too. From the casual Frederick Style Cheesesteak, to a French Cassoulet, to a Legacy “Chesapeake” Risotto. It was enjoyed seated in a cozy room overlooking the courtyard with a fire in the firepit. The ambiance was fabulous; the food was beyond wonderful and the service was top notch. It was a great beginning to a wonderful celebrative weekend in Frederick, MD. If you live near Frederick, or just visiting, I highly recommend the 7th Sister restaurant.

Such a fantastic restaurant. The menu is great and has something for everyone. Our meal was delicious, my husband has the pastrami sandwich and I had the risotto. We also had the crab dip, which I definitely recommend getting. The space is gorgeous and the staff are friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a wonderful dining experience in Frederick this is where you'll find it.

Fantastic experience! Great food, drinks and service! Absolutely love using their private dining room for our larger parties. Sarah, one of the partners, is absolutely top notch with responsiveness and attentiveness to all of our needs. Lastly, they have their own parking lot which is absolutely amazing not having to deal with the hassle of parking in downtown Frederick. Highly recommend!

Went with a full group of family, reserved early and they even had a private dining area for all of our guests. The atmosphere was gorgeous, the building historical, while their patio and fire pit were absolutely gorgeous.
I have food allergies, so it was a surprise to be so well taken care of, especially with the quality of food. They took care of me, chef and waitress were so nice and helpful. Probably one the best experiences and meals of my life.
10/10 would recommend!

Only go here to drink and/or to have a burger or cheese steak. The bottled spring water was served at room temperature, fortunately our server placed in a container filled with ice. I ordered the $ 40.00 legacy Chesapeake risotto, it was served cold, 10 dollars worth of seafood with a cup of risotto. Nate is a good server but this establishment can't handle a Saturday evening when it's first Saturday.

Atmosphere is trendy and restaurant is clean and inviting. We had reservations for noon and arrived early. While at the host stand several employees walked by without any acknowledgement to our presence. After several minutes we were greeted and seated. Received water very quickly. Water without ice, no biggie. I’ve traveled and know many places in Europe do not office iced beverages. We ordered quickly and decided to have a starter first. That came out quickly. Bread and oil. After finishing our starter we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally the server came out and said our food would “be out in 5”. Twenty min later we were still waiting. We were now at the hour mark after being seated. The food appears, and we dig in. The omelette just barely warm. We’re talking like body temp. For $19 I had higher expectations. Esp after waiting so long. We also ordered the pastrami and egg sandwich. Also, barely warm. The potatoes though, they were very hot. So I guess we waited 20-30 min for hot potatoes. The server made no mention and offered no apologies for the delay when the food was dropped.

Although the flavors of the omelette were very nice, it was hard to enjoy. The inner texture of the egg was a soft scramble which tastes better when warm. The sandwich offered a generous portion of pastrami, but cheese on the sandwich had that warmed then cooled appearance. The sandwich was at room temp. For $18, we expected more.

Not sure we are willing to try a second go around.

Went last night with family, 11 of us altogether. Ordered the brussel sprouts, crab dip and the olive oil and cheese appetizers. They were all amazing!!! I ordered the branzino fish with white beans and let me tell you- that fish with the creamy sauce from the white beans was incredible! The fish was well seasoned and the creme was superb. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. Our waiter, Domingo was super attentive and even asked if there are any allergies or food restrictions prior to writing in our orders. Executive chef Christian Blouin came to check on us and answered all our questions if you are looking for a great restaurant with awesome service and amazing food, give this place a try.

The Seventh Sister charms with atmosphere and decent food, but the service disappointed. A simple request for a thoughtful non-alcoholic option was dismissed, leaving our group feeling overlooked. For a restaurant with such promise, the lack of care toward guests’ needs was surprising—and enough to send us elsewhere.
