Agave 137 Tequila Bar & Kitchen

The service was great overall, although not as attentive as I would’ve expected, especially as the night went on. Staff was friendly and welcoming, but we had to flag someone down a couple of times. The atmosphere was nice and the space itself is inviting, making it a good spot to sit and catch up with friends.

As for the food, it was pretty underwhelming and felt hit or miss. The nachos were fine — decent portion and flavor, but nothing memorable. The elotes were also fine, enjoyable enough but didn’t really stand out compared to other places. Unfortunately, the lime chicken salad was a disappointment. It was way too sweet, which completely overpowered any citrus or savory balance, and the chicken was overcooked and dry, making the dish hard to enjoy.

Overall, it’s a decent place for drinks and the vibe, but the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. I might come back for cocktails, but I’d be hesitant to order the same food again.

The sweetest server tonight! She was all by her self and was an absolute superstar. Professional and polite. Food and drinks were delish!

We just stopped by here for a couple of drinks. Bartender was awesome and suggested some good drinks. We got served chips and salsa, the chips were very weak, but the salsa was good. We would like to go back to taste the food.

Stopped for some tacos late lunch. The food was good. The draft beer sele too was a little limited but they did have a half price happy hour deal on the drafts while we were there. The place was almost empty but the service could have been better. The staff seemed engaged in some other activities that made them feel rushed and so we did as well. May have just been a bad day. We'll try them again and adjust the re new is it is warranted. Worth a quck stop for a couple tacos.

NOT at all Mexican food, let alone “good Mexican food.” No effort went into creating flavor or even the presentation. Will not go back. Oh and the metal chairs, most uncomfortable. Paid way too much for crappy food. Save your money and taste buds.

Great margaritas, food leaves much to be desired. We started with the loaded queso which tasted like velveeta with some real cheese sprinkled on top and stuck under a broiler and served in one of those cast iron skillets you get with fajitas. The result was visually un appealing as we were sitting outside and the table wasn't level so the cheese started pouring over the side of the dish onto the table. I had the shrimp bowl. Shrimp were tasty but the rice was cold and flavorless. My wife got enchiladas that were disappointing from both a flavor and texture perspective. Probably a great place for happy hour but would not recommend for entrees.

Staff, up to and including the manager were rude. Bartenders are too busy socializing to make drinks in a timely manner and the manager has no customer service or social skills whatsoever. Unfortunate because the place is nice and has potential but the girl they have running it isn’t going to help keep it open.

Agave is always a great time! Bartenders Melaycia and Lacy are friendly, fast, and serve up amazing drinks. The food is consistently good, and they do a great job with specials always something tasty to try.

The whole staff is upbeat and welcoming, with servers who are always smiling. Management, led by Amber and Hannah, keeps everything running smoothly. Hannah’s attention to detail really shines. Love this place!

Agave 137 is honestly one of my favorite spots in Frederick. The jalapeño margarita is fire, probably the best I’ve had around. The vibe is always good and the staff makes it even better. Shoutout to Sydney, Melaycia & Hannah for always being super friendly and on point. Definitely a place I always recommend to friends.

Man, these bartenders have horrible customer service, especially the 2 with nose piercings, I had to cancel my order but it looks like a cool lil spot , they have video games, inaint get that far, was thrown off.
