I know that most every place serving Asian food has the same menu. Nothing wrong or unusual about that. Makes it easier to order.
What separates each place is the ingredients and preparation. Asian Cafe uses a good amount of Chinese Five Spice, which I grew up on. Really adds flavor. And they don't overload their dishes with brown sugary sauce. The sauces are tasty and appropriate and not overwhelming.
So don't confuse Asian Cafe with some of those chain places. The tastes here are less sweet and more savory.
There's no tables, so no eating in. No public bathroom, either. All carryout. It's also a small business, so use cash if you can.
I drive from Urbana to eat from Asian Cafe. Definitely recommend.

1) ordered a chicken dish and there was more breading on the deep fried chicken than actual chicken. A couple prices were breading **only** 2) I think this place pays to have bad reviews taken down. I wrote a review several years ago and it is gone now.

Ate there today for the first time. Got 2 entrees and lots of appetizers and soup. Nothing was outstanding and in fact quite dry and lacked flavor. It almost tasted like it was prepared days ago and reheated. Wonton soup was pretty good and the sweet and sour chicken was the well done but the rest was not great and portions compared to other restaurants like Modern Asia were small. They have no online ordering and any menus you see on-line the prices are very out of date. I think this will be a one off tri for me.
Taking value into consideration, five stars for large portions and using fresh vegetables, and of course price. Shrimp egg rolls were also good. Doesn't look like much from outside, but pretty delicious.

Very clean inside the location! Very friendly staff over the phone and in person! I’m new to the Frederick area and would definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for some Chinese food. The food quality and taste was great very clean and not over oily. Chicken and veggies was very good.
I had a great first time experience here and definitely will order again in the future.

Oh my goodness, the food is amazing. My husband and i have eaten lots of chinese trying to find a good place and we usually drive over an hour to a place we like and this place blew that out of the water. My kids love the lo mein (my husband thought it was ok) i love the crispy beef and the red thai curry. Usually the crispy beef i get elsewhere is too dry and there was plenty of sauce. The crab rangoons were some of the better ones i have had in frederick. I didnt taste the general tso chicken but i did taste the sauce and it was very good. This will definitely be our new go to.
