This place is wicked awesome! The counter help is very nice and friendly. The breakfast pastries are excellent ! Make sure you go early, they close as soon as they are sold out. They also have a small counter with coffee. I Would recommend to my friends .

This was OMG good!! The variety is nothing short of spectacular. And the pastries, muffins and scones are out of this world. I highly recommend getting there early as they sell out before their closing time.
While in town a family friend told us this was âtheâ bakery to try but wanted us to go early as when they seek out the close up. She wasnât kidding. We got in line at 7:55 am and it took us about 15 minutes to get our order. Worth the wait! Amazing cheese biscuits, decadent and traditional croissants (thumbs up to berry lavender and the everything w cream cheese). The sweet roll w frosting was too sweet for us, and they have cookies and cake too - specials every day. For sure pay a visit! Worth the wait and $. About $5+ per item. Cute white to go boxes too. Staff have their service system down pat!

After numerous visits and enjoyable experiences waiting in line, I can't believe I am just now finally leaving a review for Bakehouse. While the lines may be long at times, the wait is well worth it. My favorite items to order are the cinnamon cheese Danish and the traditional croissant. Having experienced one of my most favorite places in the world, a 400-year-old family-run Danish bakery in Copenhagen, I can almost say that I love Bakehouse's Danish pastry just as much, which is high praise indeed. Additionally, their traditional croissant is the closest I have found in America to the exquisite croissants of Parisian bakeries, with its perfectly delicate crispy exterior giving way to a sweet, tender inside full of buttery pure bliss. I have been to many bakeries in over 33 states so I promise I can attest. The making of a croissant is an absolute art in itself and Bakehouse has mastered it. I am, and will remain, a loyal fan of this exceptional bakery in downtown Frederick. P.s. Thank you for the birthday treat for my husband this morning!

Had a little bit of a wait, but the line kept moving. Very friendly staff and wonderful treats. This was my first visit and I get the hype now. Definitely will be back.
Lots of great baked goods and they give you so many little extras! Having said that, it's a very small space with very limited seating and a staff that's so busy with the line out the door they have a difficult time keeping up with the trash and stocking the coffee. Get there early! They sell out!

Be prepared for a 2 hour wait! I was excited to try this bakery, but after nearly 2 hours in the cold, I had to leave without getting anything. The process seemed extremely inefficient, and I noticed other reviews mention the same issue. Hoping they can find a way to move things along more quickly!
