I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately there are several issues that need addressing.
The pizza itself is inconsistent - I've received burnt pizza on more than one occasion, which is disappointing. The sauce also leaves much to be desired and could use improvement in flavor.
Beyond the food quality, I was put off by the lack of professionalism. The cook frequently stands out front on smoke breaks, which doesn't present a sanitary or professional image for a food establishment.
Until these issues are addressed, I can't recommend this pizzeria. There's potential here, but the execution needs work.

Got a large Sicilian pizza to go. It was about 30 minutes before I got to eat a couple slices, but was still pretty good. Obviously would have tasted alot better if I didn't have to wait so long to eat.

We were at the escape rooms a few doors down. I went ahead of time to ask that they have pizza ready in between 2 escape room games. We walked in and the pizza was hot and ready perfectly on time!! Excellent place!

I moved to Frederick less than a year ago and have been searching for a good pizza restaurant. A former New Yorker told me that I had to check out this place. I finally visited today and I absolutely loved it! The pizza was huge, with all fresh ingredients with the right amount of cheese and sauce. The staff was very friendly and helped me box up the leftovers. Nikki, the owner, was genuine and appreciative of our business to her establishment. The only thing I didn’t like about it, was that there was no delivery and it’s more of a pickup place instead of dining in, but the pizza is worth the effort of getting in my car to go and get it. I highly recommend Bellisario’s Pizza!
