We had a great experience at BJ’s! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service truly stood out. Annessa was our waiter, and she was absolutely amazing—friendly, attentive, and very professional. She made sure everything was perfect and checked on us just the right amount. Because of her excellent service, we’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend BJ’s, especially if you get Annessa taking care of you!

I won't go back. Ordered pickup and was supposed to be ready at 7:10. At 7:21 I received a message stating it was being packed. I went in at 7:25 to go get it and it wasn't ready.

Someone, who I assumed to be the manager, assured me it was being packed up. I received my food at 7:40 and nobody cared to apologize for the wait or anything.

It's Friday, I get it. They set the expectation of when I was supposed to get my food and didn't meet it and didn't seem to care about it.

And, I didn't get all of my food. No side for my burger. No strawberries or vanilla ice cream with my strawberry shortcake Pizookie.

My burgers were literally cold. I had to put them in the oven. This was a disaster.

I celebrated my 21st birthday here and had the pleasure of having Anessa (so sorry if that’s incorrect) as my server. She handled my party of 16 very well :) My family, friends, and I loved her service as she was quick, attentive, and communicative. Also the manager, Mwangi, is the best!

I ordered blackened chicken caesar salad and broccoli cheddar soup bowl. The bread for my soup was hard as a rock. The chicken on Caesar salad was super hard and the broccoli cheddar soup didn't taste fresh. $35 gone down the drain.

This was my first time there and it was delicious! I absolutely loved the Wedge Salad and the dessert - OMG. And if it is your birthday, you get a dessert for free - so nice!

Ample patron turnover allowed for our extended patronage possible.

Ordered pickup and waited for 30 mins in the restaurant to realize that food is cold as ice because Pickup staff never cared to inform me

The staff was kind and customer service oriented.

We ordered the parmesan crusted chicken and rib meal deal for takeout. We added a pizza. It was generous portions and a phenomenal price. We ordered online.

There were a few issues with our order that could have absolutely been prevented had someone read. First, I requested no tomato in the salad. There was tomatoes in the salad. We ordered a loaded baked potato with sour cream, chives, and cheese. We only received butter. The parmesan crusted chicken did not seem to have any parmesan and should have been called lemon chicken because it straight up tasted like lemon. The chicken tasted like lemon, the sundried tomatoes tasted like lemon, and the sauce tasted like lemon. They even included lemons which wasn't necessary since it just tasted like lemon anyway. The ribs were good, but could have been slightly more tender. The pizza was really thick, but was good. We just prefer thin crust NY style pizza.

All in all. It was a good price, but I suppose you get what you pay for. It was pretty disappointing since whomever threw it together didn't pay attention to the details.

Gavin Made Our Night Perfect at BJ’s Frederick!
Visited BJ’s Restaurant in Frederick, MD on Dec 21, 2025 at 6 PM and Gavin was an absolute superstar server!
Gavin’s service was flawless:
• Always smiling and professional
• Understood our family’s orders perfectly and accommodated every request promptly
• When our prime rib wasn’t cooked to perfection, he immediately fixed it and brought perfectly cooked replacements
• Made us one of the best Dubai Chocolate Pizookies ever - new flavor was incredible!
Gavin’s attentive, positive attitude turned a great meal into an unforgettable experience. We’ll always choose this BJ’s branch because of him - he’s the reason we left happy and satisfied!

Informed the waitress of lactose allergy. Let's just say unable to tell us if it was safe once food was received possibly used butter which contains milk. Drinks were not refilled. Dirty dishes were asked for over top of my food I was eating. We were not asked if we wanted dessert and bill was handed while one of us was still eating. Food was ok. I willnnot be returning. Very disappointed. Manager didn't seem to care about any of our issues.

My first time ever visiting here was not the best experience Due to timing with the food coming out of the kitchen. But the bartenders were great. My mother and I decided to come back in another time and give it another shot. The food wasn’t excellent, but it wasn’t bad, but Tiffany was our bartender and she was absolutely amazing. She’s the reason we will continue to come back. She was super attentive, very knowledgeable and just hands-down probably one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had. Thanks for everything Tiffany!

Waitress that waited on me and my daughter was outstanding. She was personable and we had my grandson with us and she brought out some fruit and fish crackers out to keep him occupied while we looked at menu and ordered. We got our food within a reasonable amount of time but felt that my burger and fries were not as hot as they should have been. I am not the type that when I am already in the restaurant. Overall a good experience and service was great!

We usually love going to BJs when visiting family in Frederick but tonight was disappointing. We did do a virtual waitlist for an hour then went and waited an hour in person. When asked what the wait time was customers were consistently told “just a few minutes”. We did leave without ever being seated. We will return to BJs but just very disappointed in the lack of honest communication, especially with 2 small children and a family member in a wheelchair.
