boxcar burger was cool, unusual w/the pickled beets, which i had never had before and tried/ate them as a side. onion rings were a little too greasy, probably won't get them next time, even tho i always get onions rings above any other side

My sister’s boyfriend absolutely raved about the boxcar burger! I ordered the Frederick burger. It was flavorful. My sister enjoyed her cheese fries.I would have liked to have ordered my burger medium rare. Unfortunately, all burgers are cooked well done.I was also disappointed with the fries. Although served warm, my fries were hard and dry. This place would do so much better to take a page from Five Guys and Thrasher’s and serve fresh cut (rather than frozen) French fries.Michelle bent over backwards after a very busy day to give us great service. The restrooms are clean and artfully done.The prices here are reasonable for what you get in return.

The classic boxcar burger is excellent, beets on burgers, what a fantastic idea! It works so well, their signature sauce is a winner, fries were good but could be more plentiful, small fries are wimpy. Staff are very nice. Never had anything else here but I crave the burger more than five guys!

The burgers are delicious. I got a burger with fig and goat cheese. Probably the best I’ve ever eaten. Everything is fresh and the lunch special is what you would spend at a fast food place.
I don't give 5 stars to too many places and I eat out quite a bit. This is one of the best burgers I've ever had including the $125 burger bar burgers I've eaten. Seriously great, excellent quality ingredients with a nice grill flavor. The fries are top notch and the onion rings are excellent.I'll be going back for sureFor awareness, I got food to go and did not eat in the restaurant.

This is my favorite place in all of Frederick to get a burger and fries. The quality is consistently high and the prices are super reasonable. The staff is super friendly and the woman who works the register goes above and beyond every single visit. My one and only complaint… you guys need to get bottles of ketchup for the tables, I hate opening a million packets of ketchup :)
