Great food and service in a fantastic location. So many gluten free options! Our server, James, was knowledgeable about the menu and super helpful in explaining all the gluten free options available to us. My husband LOVED the beef stew: great flavor, plenty of beef. My salad was huge and fresh, no wilty greens. We split an order of fish and chips, made gluten free with specific batter and dedicated fryers. The batter was SO crispy. My husband ordered the creme brulee with whipped cream and fresh berries for dessert, and it was AMAZING. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to a return trip.

Love the handhelds and the sweet potato fries were excellent!

I only gave average for food because there were no organic/Non-GMO options available. Also, please be mindful of the fact that you'll have to park on the street because the restaurant does not have its own parking lot. Overall, though, a good time was had by all for this event held in a private dining room upstairs, and everyone I spoke with who ate the food said it was all good.

Uncleanly and rude staff. They handle food with unwashed hands and use dirty silverware.

I’d never come back to the place again. 10 minutes before closing we were verbally harassed by the staff. Our group still had beverages but the staff insisted that we “need to get off the phone so you can finish your water”. Then after explaining we were finishing up, the staff continued to say that we “have 10 seconds to get up and leave or else [we] will be forcefully removed”. Albeit this was BEFORE their actual closing time.

My husband and I had searched Frederick, MD for a venue for my son’s rehearsal dinner which was to have about 85 people. Either one venue was too small, or one was priced too high, or had other issues. We came upon Brewer’s Alley on a list for recommended places for just such a dinner. We spoke with Crystal, the event manager, and she gave us all the pricing. We found a really fabulous menu that fit our budget perfectly. You only had to reserve the upstairs rooms for a small fee. The rooms are beautiful and elegant, and particularly so when the tables are all set. We were so happy with Brewer’s Alley and their staff is literally top notch! They accommodated everything we asked and made our rehearsal dinner so beautiful and memorable. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and hope to be able to use them again for future events.

Food was delicious but….things seemed very disconnected. Long line at carving station which u couldn’t go to first you had to ho to thru the hot food bar and by the time u got to the carving station your hot food was cold. They only had one person carving. The salad was just lettuce for over 30 minutes before they replenished the bowl that had some fixings. They seemed almost overbooked. Seemed they couldn’t keep desert bar stocked. Refused to do a to go plate for someone that was at home but offered dinners starting at 630. Not worth the $50 price tag.

Food was good. We sat upstairs and it sure was noisy. Hard surfaces everywhere.

Good food, service, and decor. The booths are terribly uncomfortable. I suggest choosing a table instead. If you're not on a heart healthy diet, get the fries. I couldn't put them down. So delicious!

Parking: Parking garage directly behind the restaurant.

We ate on rooftop bar.
Very busy.
My food came cold.
Beer served in plastic.

Would have preferred warm

We drank and ate in the upstairs bar. It was a great evening weather wise, which made this a much more enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, they don't have all the beer tap options upstairs, but they do have a full bar.

This is a very cute bar and restaurant in downtown frederick. Several of us went to this place following a rehearsal dinner. There is a downstairs bar area in addition to a rooftop bar with strung lights. The upstairs area was very quiet despite the fact that it was a Friday night.
We did not eat food, but it looked pretty good. Many people ordered pizzas.

The bar service was a bit slow downstairs but was to be expected for a Friday night.

They did check IDs and stamps hands prior to allowing folks to enter (seemed a bit odd to me).
